stacyexperiment: (back to you)

Gwen was having one of those days where she didn't feel like doing anything. Blame the squirrels for waking her up so damn early on the weekend. So even in the afternoon she was still in her pajamas and bunny slippers, her hair in a messy bun on top of her head, sitting on the sofa with a bowl of cereal. And just when she'd been ready to mentally bitch about the lack of anything on, she found a Kitchen Nightmares marathon.

This might just be her entire day, and she was totally fine with that.

Tobias was up early--it was selfish to lay in bed and wait for others to serve you--and was in the common room working on breakfast.

Toast, oatmeal, fresh fruit: nothing fancy because Abnegation didn't believe in fancy, but cooked correctly and served with an open heart because his faction lived to serve.

...even if he wasn't sure why all of the lights and electricity worked all the time around here. It was extravagent!

It was really kind of terrifying to wake up in a place you didn't remember with a roommate you didn't recall and a big blank space where memories tended to be. But, that's what'd happened to Travis this morning. He'd woken up completely devoid of any sort of information about who he was or where he was.

He'd hastily climbed out of his bed and gotten out of the room to try and see if anything outside could jog his memory. The walls of the hallway did nothing. The floor, nothing. Travis made it as far as the common room before stopping.

Something was seriously weird here. He wandered into the larger room and took a seat, switching on the television since that, he figured, would be able to tell him where he was and maybe what date it was. The wallet in his pocket provided his name but he didn't really remember anything else that would make Travis...Travis.

He sighed and reached up to scratch his throat when his fingers bumped over the scar. He kept tracing the scar, eyes going wide at how long and thick it was.

"What the hell happened to me?" he mumbled, breathing a little quicker. "What the hell is this?"

The cartoons on the television weren't telling him a damn thing either. Where the hell was he?

Nathan actually kind of like the house they'd been moved into for the time being. Sure, he'd been hearing voices at night and it was colder than he was used to but it just seemed a little more fitting for him. He still didn't like sleeping inside but with his roommate yet to show up, it meant he could have the space he needed to be inside when he was there.

But, he wasn't there right now. The porch was large and warm and wasn't currently being invaded by any strange voices right now. It meant that he could lean against the railing and enjoy the warm (but not too warm) weather while eating a late breakfast he'd managed to make.

The kitchens were really well stocked and Flick had made a pretty large plate of waffles since the ingredients had been there and he'd been hungry. The plate was settled on the rail beside him while he had his own separate plate for his own meal. Maybe he'd have a lot of leftovers. Waffles weren't a bad lunch choice either.

With a week free from classes, Four was devoting his extra time to more practice in the gym and on the range.

He warmed up a bit with his pistol while he wanted for Sia to show up. The knife-throwing that Dauntless engaged in was flashy but ultimately pointless in a real fight.

[OOC: Expecting Sia but open to all!]

Sia had come to the common room to find something to eat for dinner, and when she got there she found the TV on. No one seemed to be around, and when she picked up the remote to turn it off... it wouldn't work. Nor could she change the channel. She even walked to the TV to try and turn it off manually, but it seemed to be stuck on.

And while Sia had no idea what something called I Love the 2000's was, when she figured out they were talking about recent history she decided she could sit with popcorn (totally dinner) and get some education.

She'd figure out really soon that VH1 was never educational.

Four had spent the last week exploring the island, learning the ways out, the places that were easiest to defend, the places that served food (he'd have to talk to the faction leaders about getting his monthly points for food and clothing converted into something he could use here), the places that sold clothing, and most importantly the shooting range and gym.

He was pretty impressed with the facilities, despite Chuck's warnings about them.

And now he was up on the second to last place he had to scout out--the roof--staying by the door and breathing through his fear of heights. After he was done here, he'd check out Selkie Point.

His eyes closed briefly as he worked to calm the pounding of his heart. He'd check out Selkie Point tomorrow, probably. Maybe even the next day.

It looked to be a pretty nice day outside. At least that's what Felicity's phone had told her. She wasn't about to check on it herself because...bugs. And the sun put a glare on her tablet. Also the chance of skin cancer if she stayed out there too long. And she was really focused on perusing the pantry for the right kind of cookies to suit her mood. So that'll take awhile.

Somehow just admitting to herself she'd rather be indoors wasn't an option.
