What Gwen was learning was that even if you went back on that "I'm better than my hormones" bit this week, it didn't matter if you thought you fixed everything, it came back. So when marched into the common room ready to be grouchy and hate everything some more... and she walked into a party.

There was food spread out, and music playing, and weirdly the furniture had been moved so that a clear circle could be formed around a bottle laying in the middle of the floor. That was sexily ominous.

"I'm so glad I'm not in the 50s any more."

"2015 has its perks," Ezra agreed. "Have you been taking advantage of many of them?"

"As many as I possibly can."

"Which ones in particular?"

His mind was in its own single-iminded sphere, but that didn't mean the answer had to be.

"The internet," Raven said. "And the television. And the internet. And all the shiny new toys."

There were others, of course, but her mind was pretty focussed on the things that you could get porn out of and -- play with.

That was pretty much what he was stuck on, too.

"The internet's definitely pretty great. Toys... definitely too."

"You can just walk into town and get them! You'd have to go all the way to New York City for something like that back in my time."

"Oh that's right, we actually have a store for that in town." He'd gone past it, but had somehow never made it inside. "I've never been there. I should really visit."

"You should!" Raven agreed. "I've only been a time or two myself, but they have lots of variety."

"Do you think I can find things I might like on my own?" he wondered with a little smirk. "Or should I maybe take someone as a guide with me?"

As if he needed a guide for stores like that.

"Well, the staff can be very helpful, if you get lost," Raven said. "But it might be more fun to bring a friend."

"Mm," Ezra said, tapping his fingers against his chin, "the salespeople are probably very good, but I might look into going with someone who might actually enjoy the purchases with me later on."

Although, guess that depended on who worked there, too...
