Second floor common room- Monday morning
Sabine only had one class on Monday, and she had just planned on getting some caffeine before having to go, except she walked into the common room to find puppies. Random puppies. Adorable, tiny, fluffy baby puppies.
She didn't know where they came from and obviously they wouldn't be staying, but could anyone blame her if she ignored the caffeine to pick one up and cuddle him? (The answer was no, not unless they were a monster.)
[Snow day! You need puppies, come play.]

Vette had class to be getting to in an hour or so. And then maybe things to shoot. She hadn't completely decided yet what she was going to do with her day, but she did know that, whatever her plans were going to be, they were getting derailed significantly by overhearing barking on her way down the stairs, and then coming to investigate only to see, "Puppies!"
The one thing she liked most about this world? Earth puppies were amazing.

And they were totally welcome to utterly maul her. Aw.

What happened if Sabine knelt down to get on their level?
She had several puppies come over, that's what!

Vette sat on the floor, which was a good step on the way there, anyway.
"Vicious little attack hounds."

Not that, like, Nina was much better here, but psh, details.

She wasn't going to keep the puppy. Was not.
"And that one is sleeping on me. And this one here? He stepped on me, and..."

So she needed all of them, clearly.
no subject
That... that was an awful lot of puppies to need.
"They clearly thought you deserved it!!!!!!!!!!!!" she said, laughing. "Oh no, the tragedy of puppy kisses!!!!!"

But this one also had puppies.
"Whaaaaaaaat?" he said, turning the corner through the door and looking up from his email to find all those adorable, tiny, fluffy surprises, looking very much like a kid who'd just woken up to an unexpected Christmas.
"There's so maaaaaaany!"
Yes, that was nearly a squeal, as his email got swiftly pushed aside for a moment because he needed to swoop up and snuggle with as many of these little fluffballs as he could fit into his arms right at this second.
[[*weeps over lack of snow day despite snow. consoles self with puppies, yes*]]

No. That was a lie, he wasn't, but he knew that if he went to Zack about it, it would be a thing in two-point-five seconds.
...he was totally going to Zack about it.
"I get paid for this kind of thing."

Weirdly, her jobs had never involved many fluffy puppies.

She was laughing, though, as she nuzzled yet another puppy, so he couldn't take that accusation too badly, right?
no subject
How could she? He was offended, Nina! So. Offended!
For about two whole seconds, before he started laughing.
"Man," he sighed wistfully, snuggling into his armful of puppies a little. "I wish! If you do find out who did this, lemme know, because that is a person whose hand I need to shake."
...when they weren't filled with puppies, anyway.

Small, wriggly puppies of bliss.
She was going to leave this room covered in dog fur and it was going to be glorious! Glorious!

oh-so-handwavilyhelped him move, like, a ton of different animals back and forth to his office at the school for that class that did the heist thing, including puppies."Especially puppies.
And Zack was pretty awesome, so, hey, that theory checked out well enough for Prompto!

But, like many a teenager, she got hungry. So she wandered to the common room, on an epic quest for sustenance.
Only to pause in the door, and make a strangled squeaky noise of glee.
"Oh my gosh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

Food? Food was forgotten.
She grinned up at the other girl. "Who needs a reason for this??????"
no subject
"Good point. I'm just expecting someone to ask, but I don't have an answer because I don't care." How could she care when she was getting to know what a tiny Australian shepherd was, even if she didn't actually know that was his breed!

Nina took a seat on the floor, spreading her skirts over her knees invitingly. And was promptly granted her wish of a lapful of wriggly joy.
"I haven't been here that long," Nina said, with a laugh, "but my understanding is that, in cases like this, we're to blame the island itself for it, and just nod, like, wisely???????????"
As if that answered everything!
