Gym - Sunday Afternoon - Cheerleading Practice

Marie arrived at the gym early, toting her pom-poms and ready for practice.

She was also carrying what appeared to be a length of PVC pipe, which was decorated with blue and gold glitter and streamers and resting on a blue pillow with gold fringe.

It was time for the Fandom High cheerleaders to have a spirit stick.



[ooc: please wait for ocd up, yay. also? I totally watched Bring It On the other day for research. please do not have your character drop the spirit stick without talking to me though. I have plans.]

Willow was up in the stands. She looked a little tired compared to her usual self, but anyone who'd seen her yesterday would see that she was leagues better than she'd been.

She waved in Marie's direction whenever her roommate happened to look her way.

Marie waved back, a little surprised to see Willow out and about.

When she had a minute, she went over to talk to her. "You feeling better?" she asked.

"I think so," Willow said. "My head still hurts and sometimes the world goes tilty when I stand, but I had to come and cheer my roommie!"

"Well, just be careful," Marie cautioned. "If you're feeling up to eating, want to head in to town after practice to grab some dinner?"

"Food would be great," Willow said. "I want something hugely calorie-leaden and horrible for me. Think we can find someplace that fits the bill?"

"Maybe that diner that Tim works at?" Marie suggested. "Isn't diner food usually greasy and calorie-laden?"

"Ooo, yes!" Willow nodded her approval. "There can be fries and milkshakes and food I don't tell my dad about."

"Hey Willow," Kaylee greeted, waving. "Glad to see you're feeling better."

Willow waved back. "Hey, Kaylee. Nice to be better. My bed is comfy but gets very boring after a while."

"Something like that," Willow said, not wanting to take a chance on talking about the witchy stuff where Marie might overhear. "Plus I hit my head against my bureau. Which makes for all kinds of fun ways to want to loose your lunch."

"It's a little on the side of ow," Willow said, "but it's much better than it was. Plus I don't look like I'm hiding a golf ball under my hair."

Despite being sore as hell and looking pretty beat up, Cameron did move his ass to watch cheerleading practice. When he spotted Willow sitting in the stands, he decided that first impressions be damned (after all he did look like someone just tried to strangle him and then grabbed hold of his face instead) and moved to introduce himself.

"You're Willow, right?" It wasn't exactly a question as he held out his hand. "Cameron Mitchell, pleased to meet you."

Willow looked surprised, but did offer her hand to shake. "Um, hi. Yes. Willow. Though not the Willow you knew before if you knew another Willow."

"I don't think I actually knew the Willow before," Cameron said as he shook her hand and noticed her surprise. "Sorry about jumping you like this, but I promised a friend I'd keep an eye out for you and I've been doing a lousy job."

"Who?" Willow asked. Then something about Cam's name and the injuries he was sporting clicked with another piece of information in Willow's mind. "Oh my god, did Tyler do that to you?"

"Tyler?" Cameron blinked. "No, mummy! And the friend would be Angel even if Pevensie's brought you up a few times."

There were so many things in there that Willow wanted to ask about, but the first thing that stood out to her was "Your mother did that to you??"

"Hey, Willow," Bel said. "Heard Marie said you were sick yesterday. Feeling better?"

"Definitely better," Willow said. She held her arms out as though to show herself off. "Look. No bed! Or there is a bed but it's back in my room and I'm here, which means I don't need to be in it which means betterness abounds."

"Or something," Willow said with a worried glance in Marie's direction. "How about you? You don't look quite as bruisey, not that you looked very bruisey before."

"I'm fine," Bel said. "Just came down to watch my girlfriend do the pom pom thing." He held out his bag to Willow. "Popcorn?"

"Thank you," Willow helped herself to some. "I'm here to cheer on the roomie. I'm completely behind. I had to miss last practice due to classes."
