Second Floor Common Room [evening]

Rory was bored, so after a quick run into town to pick up some Ching Tai to share, she made herself comfortable in the common room with all three King of the Bracelets movies and started with the first.

She was fully prepared to helpfully point out the symbolism and archetypes to anyone who seemed to be missing them.

"Hi, Rory. They made movies about them?" Krycek stirred his chow mein a moment before deftly picking out some noodles.

"Three of them!" Rory said. "Have you read them?"

"A long time ago," he said, nodding. "Have you?"

"Of course," Rory said. "It's been a few years, though. I should reread them."

"Are the movies any good in comparison?" He glanced at the TV dubiously, waving a chopstick. "So far it looks awfully ornamental, anyway."

"They follow the plot," Rory said. "They leave out a few things I like, but if they included every single detail they'd be like five hours each rather than three."

Krycek shrugged philosophically. "Makes sense. They're pretty lengthy books. How are you doing lately?" He looked at her curiously as he changed the subject.

"I'm dandy," Rory said. "And you?"

"Not bad." He smirked slightly. "Do you want some extra coffee, actually? Jake brought back about three cases full of premium beans and expects to keep them all in the closet."

"You have to ask?" Rory asked, looking downright squeeful.

"I'll bring some over this week," Krycek said. "Jake will be happy to know it'll be appreciated."
