Second Floor Common Room [evening]

Rory was bored, so after a quick run into town to pick up some Ching Tai to share, she made herself comfortable in the common room with all three King of the Bracelets movies and started with the first.

She was fully prepared to helpfully point out the symbolism and archetypes to anyone who seemed to be missing them.

[Open and with Chinese food yay!]

"It's all written down," Willow said. "When she talked she talked - well, I guess you'd call it Squirrel. But hopefully I got her message across. She seemed pleased."

"It's so nice that even squirrels can date here," Evie said wistfully. "Are you and Peter going to Homecoming together?"

Willow? Doofy smile. "Yep. He asked, I was one with yes. It'll be nice to get all gussied up and go dancing. Are you going?"

"Yes. Although I don't have a date," she added, sounding resigned to it. "And I don't expect to have one. But I and some of the other girls wish to go dancing, and Jack said he would dance at least one dance with me, so.... Homecoming. Dance."

"There does seem to be a lack of guys to do the asking," Willow admitted. "Then you've got guys like Jim who could but don't. Which is why we should hit them with pillows."

"I don't understand that." Evie looked away, turning pink. "I thought he quite liked Lana. Since he told me he was going out with her quite exclusively after cancelling our ice cream date. Why wouldn't he ask her to Homecoming?"

"Because his mun won't be around he's a guy and guys as a species are dorks," Willow replied.

"Dorks," Evie repeated emphatically, then a little more questioningly, "Dorks?"

[identity profile] willbedone.livejournal.com 2006-09-25 02:53 am (UTC)(link)
"Dorks," Willow said with a firm nod, to let her know that she'd gotten the word right. "It means stupid, or idiot, or that they're doing something that makes you want to thwap them."

[identity profile] bookyeve.livejournal.com 2006-09-25 03:10 am (UTC)(link)
"Oh, I know *lots* of dorks!" Evie said brightly. "My brother, and all of his friends, and Jack Harkness who's very sweet but tries to get away with things because he's charming, and quite probably Pete Hutter, too! Although he's much worse than Jack or my brother, so I think he deserves a different word all his own." Evie took a moment, and muttered, "Dork dork dork. Dorks. Dorks. Dorks."

"By jove I think you've got it!" Willow said, proudly.
