Just Outside The Main Gate, Saturday Morning
Much like the previous day, Saturday found Arthur venturing back down to the barricade. It was early, the sunlight was yet shallow and leaning towards overcast, and only the first warbles of birds became evident as he slogged at the thing.
At least it had remained intact overnight. He was in full armor yet again, withshamelessly modded Merlin at his side. He'd stayed quiet opposite the boy most of the time, barring talk of strategy. The magic was something that'd have to be discussed again if they managed to survive this whole mess.
He climbed up so he could take a quick survey of the town. Watching the still forms lumber about, he felt a chill settling in his bones. There was only one word he could use to describe it.
"Bugger," he muttered, succinctly, and ran a hand through his hair. Sometimes, he had a knack for brevity.

"It's my job," Arthur said, half-turning to look at him. All right - perhaps not technically, but Arthur had grown up with a terminal dysfunction called workaholicism and a partly-still-dormant hero complex, and the island had given him an opportunity to indulge in both. He brushed some dirt from one of his gloves. "Hannibal. I see you're still alive."
God help us all, he actually sounded pleased about it.

So it was a pale Savannah that came out to the barricade armed with her flamethrower.
If flames didn't work, she had her spells.
Just please, god, don't make her have to use any of this on her brother?
She gave a very tiny smile to Arthur.
"Have they tried to get in?" Her voice was low.

Sure, Arthur had read about them, but...

"Good position, but you don't have nearly enough firepower out here." It was almost a compliment!

"If you have the means to change that," he shot back, "I wouldn't object to it."
Otherwise, plz shut up.

Okay. Really trying to think of a reason to go kill some zombies, and a way not to get bitten doing so, and who could go with her, and maybe how many guns she could carry back from that place that sold them without slowing her down....

"How are you doing, Dinah?" Her words were kind and well-meant.

Still, when she realized just how many of them were out there, she decided going much further past the gates might be on the pointless side, since this was the most living people she'd seen in one place in days.

So what. She was allowed. Fuck everything.
She marched up to the gates and gave Arthur a firm nod. "Guns," she said, holding out the stuffed-to-overflowing duffel bags she had carried with her. "Ammo. Who wants some?"
She'd raided Wellspring before she left. If Cable had a problem with it, he could fire her. And then she'd shoot him. Fair trade.
