Main Campfire, Friday Evening

Once the sun went down, a rather spectacularly large bonfire was lit for the party. No, Merlin was not aware it was now celebrated on the first of May. Calenders change, after all.

There was even a crudely constructed maypole there in case anyone felt the need to dance around it. They did so at their own peril, of course. The mockery that may ensue would probably be great.

There was plenty of moddable fruit and making for s'mores. And a bit of wine. Because it was a celebration after all.

Right! Refreshments! Karla called in a bottle of wine. "A gift for the host," she said formally. And then she grinned. "It's from the Dharo vineyards, and I'm assured its an excellent vintage. It came from my uncle's private stock."

Multiple bottles had been liberated from his collection over the past nine years. How odd.

After her encounter with Liir, Emma found herself desperately in need of more wine, and she made a beeline towards the refreshments while muttering snide things about idiotic men under her breath.

"Such a lovely evening deserves a matching vintage," she said, reaching for a glass. "Who is our host, anyway? I'm not sure to whom I should be giving my regards."

No way was Brooke going to miss a party. It had been too long since they'd had one. She'd been going through withdrawal. So here she was with a glass of wine, enjoying the atmosphere.

Leda didn't think it was weird. In fact she may have gotten a little fascinated herself. "That," she said, interrupting herself to drink from her bottle. "Seems almost as much fun as eating them."

Griff was enjoying the free chocolate thing all these gatherings had going for them. The only problem was the tendency the marshmallow had of sticking to the backs of his teeth.

The wine, thankfully, helped with that.

Claudia was by the refreshments looking awesome (as usual, of course, even if she'd left the giant red hat in the dorms). She was looking for other things besides marshmallows to roast on a stick.

This could end badly.

Buffy wasn't going to pass up a party and an excuse for s'mores, so she was trying to roast her marshmallow to get it perfect without setting it on fire. Not that it was working well. It was like an experiment in campfire cuisine, or something.

Dōjima helped herself to the wine, grinning as she watched the mob of people around her. It had been way too long since there was an all-campus bash, and she was ready to party.

Leda was experimenting. She poured some of the milk-like substance from her bottle into a cup, and then added some chocolate milk mix she'd bought earlier.

"How about that," she giggled after trying it. "It works."

Éowyn wasn't quite sure what the celebration was for, but the sheer number of people by the fire made her assume it was something good. She poured herself a bit of wine and, deciding it was good, poured herself some more.

Emma was adjusting well to everything else, but being able to eat what she wanted, when she wanted, without needing to steal it, was still a little unsettling.

She drifted past the refreshment table a few times, always keeping her hands full with a glass of wine or a snack. Not visibly hording food, just... enjoying her options.

Wine? Pssht. Wine was for [word that if it were a speech bubble would be conveniently obscured by a tree branch or passerby]s.

But Katchoo, lingering as close to the edges of the party as she could and still be considered there, had eschewed her flask for the night in favor of a bottle of Bushmill's, and no, she probably wouldn't share unless you didn't mind that she was drinking it straight from the bottle.

Harry was going to hang out by the food and try not to set too many marshmallows on fire in the quest for the perfect s'more.
