After last weekend, the students of Fandom were probably hoping for a nice, lazy weekend before their week filled with finals. Unfortunately, it could never be easy for people who lived on the island. Where there was once still and quiet, there was now a shrill fire alarm going off, blaring loud enough to even be heard by the deepest of sleeper.

Time to evacuate the dorms, students! And, once everyone started spilling out onto the lawn, they'd find that Fandom had another treat for them. It was warm, that was good, but at some point that night it'd started raining. And it wasn't just ordinary rain. It was raining chocolate syrup and occasionally hailing down marshmallows.

Just another typical late night out on the lawn of the dorms for a fire drill! Hope you brought your umbrella!

Helen sighed. "I am sorry. I know I am being unpleasant. If I have difficulty with her a hand would be welcome, of course, but she mostly takes bath time as an opportunity to play and run around crazily. And with everyone wishing to wash up when they return in. Well..."

"Have you the funds to stay at the hotel for the remainder of the night?" she asked, thinking on that. "It would be less busy."

She frowned, considering. "I have, yes, more than enough, but I had never thought of that. Are students allowed?"

"Students book the rooms all the time," she said, with a faint smile. "Whether it is for a night they do not interrupted by a roommate or for a visitor. I don't think you would have any difficulty in obtaining a room."

"For a night they do not wish...? Oh!" Helen blushed. "Ah, yes. Well... I think perhaps that is what I will do then. You're welcome to join me if you wish. Most have two beds in a room, do they not?"

"They do as far as I'm aware," she said, looking startled to be asked. "I would not mind joining you but it is n-not necessary either, if you'd rather the peace and quiet to yourself."

Helen shrugged. "Not as if you're noisy. And I rather like your company."

She coloured.

"I suppose I could then, and I thank you for your offer."

"Of course," Helen said. "It seems only fair. I have more than enough money and it, well... it would be nice to be able to make things a bit easier for you. You've always been very kind to me."
