Third Floor Common Room [Saturday, Mid-morning]
Trouble with being six, rather than sixteen, was always going to start with the size problem. Mostly the height problem. Everything good always seemed to be kept just out of reach of small hands, and that included a decent breakfast.
Effy didn't really want to starve, but at the same time, there wasn't exactly anyone around to do it all for her.
So she was going to stand and stare up at the higher cupboards, like maybe she could make them relinquish the food in there with just the power of her mind.
Clearly it wasn't going very well.

"What are you staring at, silly?" she asked the girl as she tumbled into the Common Room.

Duh! What did it look like she was looking at?

Also, they were tiny and he was not. He'd see them in a minute. Maybe.

But it appeared they'd see him first. Effy peered at him from around a table leg as he came in, taking her attention off the kitchen cupboards for the time being. He was probably getting used to getting watched by that intense blue-eyed stare. Age didn't really change that... she was just a fair bit smaller.

She then hopefully pointed towards the cupboards. So what if Raven was only about as big as she was. You never could tell.

Didn't they just do this? She eyed them warily, wondering if any of them were going to call her 'mom'.

Joan, for the moment, was just going to get watched right back from that floor-level vantage point. She so sneaky.

A typically solemn Effy, leaning around the leg of the table, offered out a Pop Tart. It only had one bite taken out of it. It was still good!

This... was not altogether unusual, aside from being tinier than was usual.
So she got out of bed, got dressed, and wandered off in search of food.
Enter the third floor common room.
"It's too high!" she whined.
no subject
Or the other option... she wedged Pato under her arm and used the other hand to point at the Big Kids. They also helped with that whole reaching part.

Unfortunately, since she was four years old, it also meant she wasn't being very successful in her breakfast attempt.
But as she wandered into the common room, she beelined for the cabinet that she knew had breakfasty stuffs in it. Now to get it open.
no subject
Of course, she wasn't talky enough to actually offer, but she did tail the other girl over there to watch what she was doing and jump in if it came to that.

Little Noah had not yet learned 'inside voice.'
no subject
And she could pass on that knowledge to other people and everything, but putting one finger to her lips as she waved Noah towards the stash of breakfast food she was building up, here.
