Second Floor Common Room; Monday Afternoon
It wasn't Shira's common room, but that wasn't stopping her from plopping herself down on a couch and flipping through the TV channels.
People could make her leave if they didn't want her there. The second floor was just more interesting today.
Even if what was on the television was even more boring, if possible, than anything she'd watched before.
[Open as common rooms are!]

"Oh, hi!" she said, smiling at the girl already there. "Anything interesting on TV?"

She shrugged, flopping into a chair anyway because she figured she'd go and do that shortly enough. She was tilting her head thoughtfully at the other girl, trying to figure out if she was as unfamiliar as she seemed.
"Have we met before?" she finally just asked. "Do you live on this floor? I'm all the way up on the fifth floor, so maybe I just miss you a lot."

Or maybe not. She'd been kind of hermity for the most part since getting to the school. Only person who'd really seen her had been her roommmate and that was only because he, you know, lived in the same room.

You hear right!, she signed back. "Long story," she added, smirking. "But it's really great to have it back."

"Kiss kiss," she called, sticking her head in the room. "I don't suppose anyone's making lunch plans?"

See Karla stare. Stare, Karla, stare.

"How the hell do you know that?"
Notice that denying it never even entered her mind.

Considering her last attempt at a casserole involved an exploding kitchen, 'pretty abysmal' might still be an understatement.

"Sandwich run?" she offered with a grin. "I could probably go for sandwiches."

For someone as cheerful as she was usually, that much sugar and caffeine probably was not the best idea.
She had her nose in her book as she came into the common room on her floor, so it took her a moment to realize that it was already occupied.

You know, one of these days, that psychic scent thing was probably going to get the witches from Kaeleer into trouble -- especially if witches from outside of Kaeleer weren't as open and friendly as Cassidy was. For now, though, Cassidy was just going to be very excited that she and Karla had another Sister around.
Someone could explain to her about Terrielle later.

"Hello, Karla!" Someone was cheerful. She looked from Karla to Shira. "You're from our world!" She looked back at Karla. "This is wonderful."
Cassidy would be touched if she realized that Karla's concern was for her.
