Nadia was sitting upside down on the couch, munching on a chicken empanada and reading a book.

The adventures of six miss-matched characters across a make-believe world were surprisingly engaging.

Chyeah, right. "How were the topless vampires?" Nadia called softly.

"Did someone like put up a poster about it or something?" Bel flailed. "Is there anyone who doesn't know?"

"Probably. I talked to Anders in class, today." Nadia smiled. "Not lecturing or anything. Just asking."

Molly wandered in to get a popsicle out of the freezer and then she plopped down in a chair. "Hey, Nadia. How are you?"

"Hey, Molly." Nadia closed her book around her finger and swung around to sit upright. "I'm okay, you?"

"I'm good," Molly said. "Well, except for losing the swoop bike race yesterday. That kind of sucked. But, I'll win the rematch, I'm sure of it." She grinned.

Jamie ran into the lounge and full speed slid across the floor and vaulted himself into a chair.

Which promptly fell over.

"Meant to do that!"

Nadia grinned. "Surrrrre you did. How's it going, roommie?"

"I totally did. I'm great! I had the room to myself this weekend," Jamie said with a grin. "How was Vegas? Or can you say what happened in Vegas?"

Marty came in and flopped down on the couch. "Hey everyone. What's on TV?"

Angela reached out and grabbed his shoelace and pulled. "Hi."

"Nothing. TV isn't on. Hiya, Marty!"

Then she summoned the tiniest of fireballs in one of them, and practically jumped over one of the couches. "Holy frak!"
