Gym, Flag Football Practice, Sunday Noon

There were painstakingly measured cone paths running up and down the length of the gym.  Today the players were going to run. 

Once everyone appeared to be assembled, John made an announcement, "Okay guys, today we're gonna run sprints.  Let's see how fast all of you can run 100 meters."  He motioned to a box of stopwatches next to the sign-in sheet.  "Grab a stopwatch and time yourself.  You can also get in groups or pairs if you'd like.  If you have questions, your captains are available as always."

Annette laid down flat on the floor, folded her hands over her stomach, and stared up at the ceiling of the gym. She was trying to focus on being social, cause she was in a quiet sort of mood today.

Anders did his warmups with almost frighteningly painstaking care, which made him an easy target for conversation attempts.

Although he was in the sort of mood where if you caught him at the right (or wrong, depending on your point of view) moment, you'd get subjected to a ramble about the stats of players on his fantasy baseball roster.

Sokka shunned the Western-style I-will-stretch-this-muscle-now stretches for the more graceful ones he had grown up with, which warmed up mind and body, attuned the spirit, and got the blood and qi flowing.

Okay, so he mostly did it because they were familiar to him. But the qi stuff was important, too, right?

Grab a stopwatch and a partner if you'd like. Then take off running! Go at it a few times and better your time.

Grabbing a stopwatch, Annette ran. And she just kept on running. She didn't bother much checking her time. She was a pretty good runner having done it for so long now.

She did looked back over her shoulder occassionally to see if anyone was behind her.

Johnny flew. Not literally. But he did like to run. Maybe he would fly next time, literally. He'd have to think about that.

Adam loved to run, having done it a lot back home. He'd even participated in a few triathalons in Angel Grove.

Grabbing a stopwatch, Adam set off.

Anders grabbed a stopwatch and, before waiting for a partner, decided to do a few 100-meter sprints solo just for starters.

John thought he'd run a few lengths. What? Running was fun for him. It helped relieve the frustrations of life.

His times were pretty good, too.

Sokka was... a decent runner. Not spectacular, but okay-ish. Fast enough to run away from soldiers in full armor, anyway.

He put every ounce of energy he had into sprinting down the field, but still came in behind a bunch of people.

Andros got a stopwatch and started running. Since he was used to running long distances he found this exercise easy.

Chad's sprinting was quick, but not exactly fast, persay. Chad's run was more the type that people seemed to use to barrel through others that won't get out of the way.

There was a lot of chasing and being chased in hunting so running had been part of the Winchester training. Dean was pretty fast as a result.

John watched his team running the 100 meter dash. He was pleased at how well they all seemed to be doing. He'd have to talk to Willow about a scrimmage for next week.
