The dorm lawn- Wednesday night at 2 am

At 2 am exactly, a loud buzzing sound rang through the dorms. An not just any buzzing. A loud, obnoxious "BZZZT!" followed by a two-second pause, followed by another "BZZZT!", followed by another two-second pause, followed by a... You get the idea. And the really bad part was the way it tended to feel like it was inside your head when it "BZZZT"ed as you were passing by in the halls.

So due to the "BZZZT"ing and fire safety regulations, the students had to drag their tired, cranky selves out of bed (or whatever), make their way down the halls and stairwells, and file out onto the dorm lawn in the chilly, damp weather, and did we mention it was 2 am?

The Fandom fire department was on hand, but they'd probably make everyone wait for a while just because they were cranky, too.

Johnny smirked. "I... was in the shower. And yours are just way too cute, Ino."

"You hadn't even gone to bed yet?" Aghast!

She tugged at one of her sleeves.

"They're a lot cuter when I'm inside," Ino said, wrinkling her nose. "Not exactly winter proof, you know?"

"Um..." so, telling her that he had gone to bed but got back up to um.. you know.. see if he could um...

Yeah, no, he wasn't going there.

"I'm totally hot if you need warming." Just ignore the towel slung low on his hips.

Ino still lived in rather blissful ignorance of the issues afflicting... well. Anyway, yes.

She gave him a bit of a look, rather appreciative, all things told, but... "You're in a towel, Johnny."

"But I'm useful," he pointed out. Intelligently. Yep.

"Yes," she said slowly, "but it'd be weird 'cause you're in a towel."

"I can take it off," he said, teasing, winking at her.

She flushed scarlet. "Don't you dare!"

"You sure?" he asked, teasing further. "Or will I get a beat down from your beau?"

"You'll get the beat down from me," she threatened, still flushing. "'Cause you're not single."

And, yeah, that mattered to her.

It did to Johnny too, don't get him wrong. But teasing Ino was fun.

"Oooh, don't tease me, Ino."

Ino, if it wasn't two in the morning, would probably agree.

"What if I want too?" she asked, making a face at him.

He folded his arms across his chest, and turned to face her completely, smirking. "Then by all means, tease away."

Uh.

Ino blinked. Well. It wasn't like she could turn down a challenge, right?

Right. Um. She had no idea where to start. "Um..."

Ino narrowed her eyes at him for a long long moment, before making up her mind.

Stalking forward (all, what, two-three feet?) she went to try and draw one hand down his chest. "You're going to have to move your arms," she noted.

He reached out to try and catch her wrist in his hand. "...and what is this supposed to mean?"

She grinned up at him, her wrist caught by him. "Wouldn't you like to know?"

Johnny grinned back and leaned slightly forward. "I would, yes."

Ino was already composing a very sincere message of apology to Savannah but, really, she'd always been bad at turning challenges down.

Which would be why she went up on her toes, and tried to kiss him.

Johnny? Totally wasn't expecting that but he stepped back just in time, his fingers still wrapped around her tiny wrist.

He cocked his head, appreciating her teasing wiles. "Good one, sweetheart. But that won't work on me."

And... he was almost regretting the fact that they decided threesomes were not a good idea.

"'Cause," that was totally a reason, geez, though she didn't think he'd take it.

"Because you already think I'm adorable."
