Moving Day (again!) - Second floor hallway

After her omgsoconfusing morning, Rory started to patiently move boxes of her things down the hall from room 236 to 213.

She is but one wee, clumsy, fairly weak girl though, so she would certainly appreciate any help offered.

Unless it's offered by John or Lee, because they are OMG SO DEAD.

Parker's helping, despite the urge to hide under the bed. "Hey. Did you talk to Alex Krycek about me and Jack?"

Rory sighed. "No, why? Did you get a phone message from him or something?"

"Yes. He knows way more about what I had planned for Jack tomorrow than he should." Parker frowned. "Maybe Lee told him. He was drunk enough to leave me a message about wondering if he had his hand down my pants last night. That boy needs medication."

Rory's kind of an idiot sometimes.

"Well. Did he?"

Parker glares. "Do you want help moving, ex-roomie?" Then she grins. "Sadly, no. And wouldn't that be something to tell Thrace." She scowled. "Who is *messing* with me again. Making passes... you were so right about her, god."

Angela can't stay on her own floor, can she?

"Hey," she says. "Need help?"

"'Course." Rory frowned. "And Marty's called me about something weird this morning. Ferrets?"

Angela blushes a deep scarlet, remembering Marty's reference to "making out like crazed ferrets.". "Um, he mentioned ferrets to me, too. As a joke. You know."

"MAybe he thinks they'd, um, be good company for Camilla?"

"Maybe," Rory replied. "I thought it was meant for me, though, so I called him back with kind of a harsh message. Because, um, aside from...ferrets...he's your boyfriend, and ew, no hitting on people who aren't you."

Anders wandered back up from a long run to see wee little Rory and a pile of boxes in the hallway. Being bored and in the mood to be helpful, he jogged down the hall toward her.

"Moving again, Gilmore? Where to? I can totally help lift things." He nodded.

Because lifting things was what he was good at, after all.

"Room 213," Rory grinned. "And thanks. You seem like someone who would be good at lifting things."

"Yep. Heavy lifting is my specialty. 's what Cally says, anyway. 213?" Anders grinned. "That's Cally's old room. You gonna want to keep the top bunk bed, then? We already moved out the other dresser, but we kinda didn't need the extra bed, so . . ."

Rory didn't comment on how they didn't need another bed.

"Yeah, I'll probably keep it for visitors. Or Vladdie." She coughed. "I think I got a phone message for you this morning. From Cally."

Anakin walked down the hallway with a scowl on his face. His phone had been ringing off the hook with weird messages all day.

He brightened when he saw Rory, then noticed Parker. The events of last night were still pretty raw. The muscles in his jaw clenched, but he tried to behave normally.

"Need a hand?" he asked.

Rory smiled. Parker ducked back into 234, seemingly without seeing Anakin.

"Sure. We're going to 213," Rory replied, lifting up a box of books and nearly falling over.

Anakin waved his hand and the box floated in the air. "I've got that," he said with a smile.

If Parker was going to avoid him by being afk, well, it wasn't like he wouldn't be kind of relieved about it.

Rory grinned. "I will never get tired of the convenience of you being able to do that." She picked up a significantly lighter box, and inclined her head in the direction of 213 with a slight smile before starting to head off.

Aeryn can hear the moving noises from her room, so she has to stop by because the phone isn't doing its job. "Tell me you got my message."

Rory shook her head. "Did you get mine?"

"Of course not. There are photos of the..." She lowers her voice to a whisper. "Folder helmet thing."

Rory nodded. "I know. I got a call from John that was meant for Anakin. There aren't just photos - he's going to show them to...people."

Molly was taking the long way to Kiki's room. She was wandering the halls starting on the first floor so that she could look into every open room she passed by. As she got to the second floor hall, she saw that it looked like someone else was moving. She stopped by the open door to talk to one of the girls she'd seen in the common room last night.

"Hi, I'm Molly. I saw you in the common room with the puppy last night, right?"

Rory looked up. "Hi! I'm Rory. And the puppy is Vladdie. He's...." She looked around, and spied Vladdie hanging from the ceiling. "He's being cliché."

Molly followed Rory's gaze up. "Coooool. I must have crashed hard last night to miss the flying puppy. I love this school!" She looked back down at Rory. "Are you moving? Need any help?"

Rory rolled her eyes at Vladdie. "He's a vampire," she explained. "But not a dangerous one. And not like the other vamps we have around here. They can't fly. As far as I know. And yeah, I'm moving to 213, and I'd love help if you're willing."
