Third floor common room- Wednesday night

After a lot of work (some involving a showerhead, don't ask, and no not dirty) throughout the day, Jaina had decided she had to get out of her room for a while. So she'd just gone to the common room, made herself a sandwich, and started reading a report on her datapad with the TV on for noise.

Somehow she hadn't figured out that doing this was bound to distract her, and this was why she was staring at an episode of "I Didn't Know I Was Pregnant", looking seriously confused, datapad forgotten, and occasionally saying things aloud like "There is something wrong with you," and "What do you mean this is a series??"

[Open like an open thing. ...I may have been dying to make this a CR post for a few weeks now. Because omgwtf SHOW.]

"...hey, Jaina? You're talking to the television," Rose remarked. She was looking for bread to make toast, and somehow there wasn't any at all in the 4th Floor CR. "It's not gonna talk back. I hope."

"I'm beginning to hope they can hear me through it instead," Jaina said. "You know there are apparently enough women that have kids without knowing they were ever pregnant that they made a series about it?"

Clark needed no reason to wander the staircase in search of entertainment. It was what people did, shh.

Spotting the look on the girl's face he paused before sitting down, "You okay?"

"I'm worried for humanity," Jaina answered, looking away from the TV. "Other than that, fine."

Oh hey, one of the flaily cute boys from Sex Ed. Rose gave him a wave.

And proving she never, ever learned, she wondered if he could also be convinced that he could get the clap from a shower.

"Hey, it's Clark, right?"

"Oh, hey Jaina," Hurley said, walking into the common room.

"...what are you watching?"

"Scary things, Hurley," Jaina replied. "Watch a minute, I want to see your reaction."

"Good evening," Zayne told the room as he walked in. "What's..."

He stopped as he glanced at the TV. "How did they not know they were pregnant?"

"That's the mystery of the evening," said Jaina. "If you have any theories, feel free to shout 'em out."

"Denial," Rose had decided by then. "Or just pure stupidity."

"My only answer is... brain death," Hurley said. "And dude, I don't like saying mean things about people I don't know."

Kaylee was about to say something when she bounded in, and then she heard the television.

"...can that happen?" she asked, staring at the TV. "What if I'm growin' a baby an' I don't know?"

"Take a test," Jaina said. "Though from the sounds of it, that's too hard for some people to do."

"This show makes me feel really lucky to be a guy," Clark told her, exhaling in his horror of the show.

"Oh look," Layla said wandering into the common room and seeing what was on TV. "Clueless people having babies."

"O'm looing," Jaina agreed. "I can't kriffing stop."

"How can you say that so casually? This kind of thing can't be that normal," Zayne said. He felt very strongly about this. Especially the part about the toilet.

Azula noted Layla's entry warily. She wasn't fond of oracles before and less fond of them now after her last encounter with Layla.

"There are too many shows about babies," Hurley said. "Don't you think?"

Azula stared at the program. "This is really true, there really is a show about... are those people morons?"

"Looks like," Jaina nodded. "You know, even if you're getting weird longterm symptoms of stuff, maybe get it checked out."

Not that she would, but still.

Jon made it to the fridge and had put some ice in his plastic cup and even got as far as pouring his can of soda into the glass before he realized what was on.

"This is as bad as that 'I went in for liposuction and they found a 15 pound tumor' show."
