Outside the Dorms, Very Very Late Monday Evening/Too Early Tuesday Morning

It was raining.

It was not raining very hard, but it was definitely raining at the insane time the sirens went off across the school. The lawn outside was slowly but surely turning into a wet mess, and the grass was just high enough in some places that it might leave wet splotches on an unsuspecting passer-by's pants.

Clearly this was a great time for a fire drill.

It was clearly also a great time to test the new volume on the sirens, which blared even harder than they had ever done before. Hope you didn't have to take any tests in the morning, kids!

Korra had automatically grabbed her parka as she'd headed outside, so most of the rain was just beading on the waterproofed surface as she perched on top of Naga's back to keep off the grass. However this was a small mercy as the rain was a constant drizzly reminder of the fact she should have been able to feel the moisture in the air and to bend it away from her.

Also, damp polar bear dog? Kinda on the fragrant side.

Stiles always tended to be covered up unless there was a convenient locker door to change behind god damn you, Scott, and right now was no exception. He sleepily trudged out of the dorms wearing Ratguy pajama bottoms, a black Beatles t-shirt and his favorite red hoodie that he managed to grab on the way out the door.

Sorry, ladies, no eye candy for you. Because you were clamoring for it, really.

Yeah, Atton had made sure that whoever was in earshot - ie, probably his roommate and what other unfortunates were near - had gotten a thorough crash course on Twi'lek curses when the siren had gone off.

Now he was standing outside, his signature jacket pulled up and over his head. "I'm moving out of the damned dorms and finding some place less intent on making my life a living hell," he muttered.

To himself. Sometimes you had to make sacrifices if you wanted to complain a lot.

Jace really, really did not like to be rudely awakened, especially by a fire alarm when there wasn't actually fire. Did mundanes think this stuff was funny? Because it wasn't.

He was gonna stand here in his gray sleeping pants and plain white t-shirt with his arms crossed. Pouting.

No, he didn't. And neither did Natalie, with her extra baggy t-shirt clinging damply to her. Actually, she looked actively annoyed.

When the alarms started going off, Topher contemplated just sleeping through them. Then he remembered that even if it was probably a drill, it was the first time this had happened since he'd gotten here, and he'd set off a few small fires in his day, so... best to get out of bed.

So, boxers. Boxers and no shirt. And rain.

Topher was not pleased.

"Are you cold?" Billy asked, after taking a moment to appreciate the sight of a wet and shirtless Topher because hi, he had eyes and all.

For the first minute or so, Liara had attempted to shield herself from the rain using biotics. But that had turned out to be exhausting, and so now she was merely standing outside, hoping her nightclothes were thick enough to keep out the worst of the rain.

At least she had no hair to get wet.

Lucky thing Peter actually hadn't had the time to go to bed yet - and that he couldn't be bothered to observe such regulations as 'don't go looking for a bag or a coat or something'.

Sure, he wasn't happy that his conversation with one of the Haitian ministers (currently visiting... some country across the globe-- timezones) had been so rudely interrupted, but at least his coat had a hood on it.

Luke had been through this enough times to not be surprised that it was raining during a fire drill. Still didn't mean he liked it.

At least it wasn't too cold out for him so he didn't mind that he hadn't managed to grab a shirt on his way out. It was a little wet out but he'd manage.

Now, Alec was rarely thrilled with Fandom's antics, but in the haze of sleep-deprivation, he thought this might be up there with some of the island's worst offenses. So he would be standing off to the side with his arms crossed over his chest, scowling hard enough to start a fire.

Victor had finally picked up on the fact Alec was not exactly in favor of casual nudity, so he'd slept in a pair of plain white boxers.

Which was good, because it meant what he was wearing was the boxers, the blanket he'd grabbed to wrap around his shoulders, and a miserable scowl. They really should give more warning before these things.

She still opposed this entire concept. Her hands were clapped firmly over her ears, and were unlikely to move until the sirens stopped.

Sia had had the good sense to grab a cloak before leaving her room, so she wasn't as wet and miserable as she could have been. She was wondering how long they were expected to stand here and whether anyone was actually doing anything while all the standing here was going on, and she didn't appreciate being woken up just to stand here.

Basically, she could have been happier here.

"Marsie," Olive said, verging on a whine as she wandered over. At least she'd gotten flip flops so her feet were relatively dry! But she'd grown up on this planet with their 'don't grab any of your stuff because the BUILDING COULD BE ON FIRE' stuff so she was not so lucky as to have a cloak or anything beside her pajamas, no. "Who can we blame for this? Who do you think set it off? My money's on that guy with the tattoos."

Because of course it couldn't just be a scheduled drill. It was the middle of the night, come on. Who did that?

Well. Evan was a little on the soggy side.

His puppy, on the other hand, was nice and dry as he huddled next to him, trying to keep away from the loud, scary noise. One of Evan's stretched-and-outstretched hands was seeing to that.

Mutant powers were pretty useful for that sort of thing, at least.

Lucky everyone, they'd get to get an eyeful of Sparkle in his smiley-face boxers, without his make-up, and with his hair plastered down over his face so that he looked something like a half-drowned rodent.

He was taking this more or less in stride, but occasionally he might be spotted giving the dorms a look that suggested that they had better damn well really be burning down, or else he'd help them along with that so that this wasn't all for nothing.

Do you know what was a less than exhilarating experience? Not just being outside in the rain in her (very sensible) nightclothes and kimono, getting wet. It trying to to stop Jims from screaming his head off because he was wet and awake at this unholy time of night/morning, and was not best pleased about it.

Olive was not smart. She hadn't even thought to look out the window to see if it was raining, because...well, hi, she was from California, okay. She wasn't used to worrying about rain at all. Her tank top (http://www1.assets-gap.com/Asset_Archive/ONWeb/Assets/Product/536/536698/big/on536698-21vliv01.jpg) and shorts (http://www.crazyforbargains.com/blspmoflpash.html) were fine, sure, and her arms were mostly crossed around herself out of warmth and irritation than modesty, but still.

Olive liked to sleep. And this was horrible. Her hair, which had been sticking slightly on end on one side, began to progressively droop and stick to her head in the rain, too. Not her best look at all.

Dany was not pleased, no. In a fit of modesty practicality, she'd grabbed her cloak to cover her rather sheer nightgown, so that at least wasn't a concern. Her hair was rippling over her shoulders in tangled silver knots, though, and she was simply standing on the lawn, hands covering her ears as she scowled.

Tony hadn't actually gone to sleep, so he was still dressed as he made his way outside. And had promptly found a spot to sit down to work at his laptop.

He was just lucky that his tech was good to survive some pretty harsh elements.

Topher hesitated before awkwardly approaching Tony, because a.) shirtless and b.) awkward, but when he did he was opting for hand-wringing instead of shielding his chest, which was... probably not the best choice there.

In terms of weather, Jessica had been in worse positions in worse weather, so she wasn't too uncomfortable, exactly. But she also wasn't very happy.

Still, she stood there like a trooper in the rain. Arms crossed, dressed in her sleep tank top and sheep pants - shut up, sheep were great - and getting drenched. Really not how she wanted to spend the night.

So it was truly and accident that bumped into Stacey. He wasn't shirtless but with the rain he might as well be.

Natalie hadn't been sleeping well tonight to begin with, so she looked tired, as well as annoyed at this turn of events.

The overly large t-shirt (you might have even ventured a guess that it wasn't originally hers) she'd been sleeping in was slowly starting to cling to her thin frame, while her pajama pant legs were getting soggier. Sigh.
