The need for parties and the social status assumed to go along with them was probably the easiest part of roboSummer's programming, easily the best lynch pin that connected the two Summer, that would make someone look at her eagerness to host a party and thinking yup, definitely Summer, nothing wrong here! She'd decked the place out with glitter and streamers, started pumping some sweet tunes, and made sure all the food and beverages were readily available and spread out on the table and counters.

And now all she needed was people.

...she really hoped there would be people, but, unlike OG Summer, she would definitely survive if there weren't.

Breq had never been a guest at a party. She had been at many, of course, as her ancillaries had been there as guards when needed, but that was different. She had been the observer, never the participant.

As no one so far had even heard about the Radchaai, she had stopped trying to pretend not to be one on her first day. That meant she was wearing Radchaai clothing, including gloves. She might not truly be one of them, but the Radchaai were the closest she would come to a people.

She took a seat on a couch, looking to see who would arrive.

This was either a glitch in her programming or a new person that had just started that Summer hadn't gotten to meet yet and wasn't in any of her classes, but since there couldn't possibly be a flaw in Rick's work, it must have been the latter.

"Hey!" Summer greeted her as she bounced over to the couch. "Like, totally thanks for coming! I hope you're, like, so totally enjoying yourself."

Oh! A party! Hosted by Summer, no less! Well, Peridot had a newly upgraded phone - again - to give to her, and she'd heard about the party over the radio (she didn't tend to spend much time in her room), so she was swinging by to drop it off.

And also, perhaps, to check out the new faces. Maybe there would be ones who didn't tell her to stop being green.

Breq nodded in the direction of Peridot, judging this to be an appropriate greeting. She remembered her from class. A green Gem was hard to forget, and she had met a lot of people in her life.

Ugh, whoever even pronounced all the letters at the ends of words?

"You looked quite fascinated by the lizard in Messire Jenkin's class," he said, giving her a small smile. "Did you get a chance to feed them?"

Like Tip was going to miss Summer's next party after the Sharkicane. She even brought some extra snacks. Parties could never have enough snacks.

"Tip!" It would have been tragic if her occasional partner in partying hadn't made it. Tragic. "T.I.P. Totally Interesting Person."

Her programming might have gotten a little excited to implement the note it made in response to BDG's comment about abbreviations. She laughed a little at her own little joke there. "And you totally, like, brought more food! Tip for the assist! Nice!"

"Gratuity!" Hyacinthe was smiling at her, but his eyes were gazing at her hair in open curiosity. "Forgive me if this is rude, but--does your hair truly grow so fast? Was not it closely shorn just a few weeks ago?"

So help him, he could not figure out how she'd gone from shaved to such a profusion of curls in a matter of days.

Aloy was still avoiding the school building, but she figured she couldn't do it forever - not with no way out to be found.

It was coincidence that brought her there right as Summer's party was beginning, staring at the layout of the common room, trying to make it make sense.

Either Summer's programming was totally glitching out from the excitement of the party, or she had just really missed a good few people at the picnic.

"Hey!" Summer bounced up. "Like, thank you so much for totally coming! I hope you're, like, totally having a good time, congratulations on totally, like, surviving your first week!"

Judging from the look on her face, this person was from a place far more different to this than Breq's universe.

She tried a smile. She was going to have to get used to smiling regularly anyway.

Sidon had somehow don't think about it too much learned that the little paper under their door was an invitation to a gathering of sorts, and while the sheer dryness of this place was still a bit uncomfortable for him, he missed being around others. Not a fan of only two people to a room, this one, especially when he was certain the other person in his room would much rather it be one.

So he ducked a bit as he followed to sounds of music and chatting to the Second Floor Common Room, looking around with a bright grin.

"This must be the right place for the party!"

And, if not, and he'd stumbled into a private affair, perhaps someone could point him in the right diretion.

A new semester with new faces? Of course Hyacinthe was there, a bit of golden body glitter on his skin that Ada had left behind. He loved the beginning of the new semester. So many new friends and new more-than-friends to meet and make.

There is somehow a seemingly infinite amount of pizza, chips, and other food, a wide variety of completely moddable beverages (with many a red Solo cup to pour them into), and, of course, the pièce de résistance, a super fancy fruity jello mold centerpiece.

Ancillaries ate skel and drank water. She had tried other things of course, and through her officers she knew of the pleasures of good food, but she hadn't actually enjoyed it herself.

Not that it was important to her, but she would probably try pizza again, even if she was going to have to wash her gloves later.

Dante immediatly passed by every other aspect of the party to come here. For pizza. And spiked drinks.

He hadn't been in the dorms in almost a week, and it felt weird.

Sidon was a little disappointed that there didn't seem to be a lot of fish at the buffet, but he was quite intrigued by this pizza delicacy that seemed to be in abundance.

Jughead was another person who ended up heading straight for the food. He might stick around for long enough not to seem rude for just taking advantage of the food, but he wasn't sure yet.

He wasn't entirely sure why he'd shown up in the first place.
