4th Floor Common Room, Afternoon

Marco had woken up in the morning and was even shorter than usual. He wasted no time eating large quantities of sugary cereal - most of which ended up on the floor rather than the bowl. Now, he was a wee tiny polar bear, lounging around the ground.

The television was on, there was cereal all over the place, and there was a polar bear chilling on the floor.

kappa kappa gremlin meeting | 1st floor rec room | after classes | friday | april 16

"Good afternoon," Arthur intoned, smiling at those gathered. "We thought today might make for a good bonding experience over some more sports and, of course, copious amounts of food."

He wasn't overfeeding his reserves, but he was going to abuse frat to stuff his face.

"We have pizzas and hamburgers," he continued, "Feed as you wish. Hannibal will be informing you of the sport of the day."

the rest is under here! )

kappa kappa gremlin meeting | 1st floor rec room | after classes | friday | march 5

"Welcome back, fellow fraternity members," Arthur began, crossing his arms and surveying his estate. Or the 1st Floor Rec Room. Whatever you chose to call it. "Today, I thought we'd ease back into our normal activities. We will be watching football." Beat. "Or soccer, as is the local word for it. I think we've got replays of Chelsea versus Manchester City...? Right."

He'd left the catering to Hannibal. He had dearly hoped that hadn't been a miscalculation on his end.

"Yeah, I don't have a clue," Hannibal admitted since soccer -- sorry, football -- wasn't his sport of choice. "I mean, I know we've got something but I can't tell which team's which. I'm too busy following the ball."

This is why hockey gave him a headache until there were fights. The fights were fun. Anyway.

"Anyway, yeah, we're going to be watching the game," he continued. "I picked up pizza, sandwiches and onion rings for those that are really hungry. Those that aren't can snack on the smaller treats. Chips, crackers, that kind of thing. And hey, if you wanna get into fights with each other, go for it. Just don't do any permanent damage."

He was a support frat leader, he was. Still, he gestured to the televisions, the comfy chairs and the food before heading to grab a slice himself.

kappa kappa gremlin meeting | 1st floor rec room | after classes | friday | february 12

It was the first meeting of the frat for the new semester! Hannibal, as you might have expected, was pretty excited about this. Arthur, less so, but that was Arthur for you. Hannibal would pay cash money to anyone who got pictorial evidence of Arthur in glee mode. CASH MONEY.

Naturally, there was food. Burgers, to be precise. And a TV (although Arthur didn't find that particularly natural). And other... things that you found in a rec room.

"Good afternoon," Arthur started, a little looser than his reserve introductions (but only a little). "I'd like to welcome you all back to the Fandom fraternity, Kappa Kappa Gremlin. Today is a day for introductions, of course. Next week we'll resume our work in the vein of last semester. Let us know if you've got any ideas. We're looking at a schedule full of sports..."

"Seriously, don't be shy about suggesting something," Hannibal echoed his co-leader. CO-LEADER. "We're looking at mixing things up, even if we can't do Twister again." That was sad. Sad sad sad. Though, Hannibal figured he could find something just as inane and embarrassing to do on his week to lead the frat.

"So, yeah, let's get with the introductions," Hannibal continued, clasping his hands together. "Name, age, year and let's go with the most macho thing you've ever done. Come on, cough it up. We wanna hear it. And feel free to eat the snacks and bum around the rec room. It's what we're here for."

The Roof, Monday Evening

One of these days, Warren was going to come up to the roof to do more than awkwardly stand there staring out over the island as the sun worked on setting. Really. In fact, tonight, 'more than awkwardly standing there' was essentially his whole reason for being up there.

Shocking, no?

This time, he didn't even bother to check to see if anyone else was on the roof with him. It was a free roof in a busy dormitory, he knew better by now. No, this time he was going to pull his coat off, lose the harness that was holding his wings in place, and then take a running leap off the edge before he could even have second thoughts and chicken out.

And, now that he was in the air, feathered wings flaring behind him and catching the breeze that he'd thrown himself into? He was going to laugh. It was the delirious, giddy laugh of a boy who had just rediscovered freedom. The sort of freedom that he'd only ever known those few times that he was in the air, with wind moving over his wings and nothing, not even gravity, tying him down unless he decided it was allowed to. It was still cold out, but that was fine. The chill made something as absolutely surreal as flying seem that much more real.

And, after a few laps around the dorms, it was possible that he was still completely giddy by the time he'd come to land again, too high on adrenaline to be thinking about the landing enough to flub it.

Today? Today was officially a good day.

[Open roof is open! A person could get addicted to typing about flying, omg.]

Third Floor Common Room, Afternoon

Marco really, really hated the cold. But unlike everyone else, he didn't actually need to deal with the cold and lack of electricity as a human. Which is why there was a polar bear sprawled in the third floor common room, seemingly almost happy with life.

The polar bear was also playing with a Coca-Cola bottle. And old school, glass Coca-Cola bottle. Just because he was cold, didn't mean he had lost all of his sense of humor.

[ooc: Open like a common room with a polar bear is open]

Benjamin Harrison Campfire - Late Wednesday Evening

Five days since Rose had seen Lissa, and that was longer than she remembered since they'd met sitting next to each other in kindergarten.  When she was by herself, she couldn't stop mentally poking at that oddly blank spot in her head where Lissa was supposed to be.  Every once and a while, Rose could almost feel a whisper of emotion from the spot, but it was never constant.  It was never the way their bond had always been.

She'd tried to tire herself out today, but she couldn't fall asleep so Rose got up and headed out to the unlit campfire.  She scavenged some bread and peanut butter and sat at the campfire to occupy herself by ripping up the slices and throwing pieces into the firepit.

Benjamin Harrison Cabin Campfire - Late Saturday Evening

If you had asked her four days ago, Rose would never have guessed she'd be on some little island in Maryland tonight.  She should have been tired after a long series of days, but the cabin seemed too stuffy and hot, and she found herself outside at the campfire.

She surprised herself by managing to light a fire in the pit, and Rose sat just to the side of it, poking at the fire more to soothe her frustrations than actually help the fire.  Which became evident as the fire started to sputter and smoke into the night.

Rose paid no attention to that though, too busy glaring at the cabin or the sky to notice something silly like the actual campfire.

[OOC:  Campfire = open.]

Main Campfire, Friday Evening

Once the sun went down, a rather spectacularly large bonfire was lit for the party. No, Merlin was not aware it was now celebrated on the first of May. Calenders change, after all.

There was even a crudely constructed maypole there in case anyone felt the need to dance around it. They did so at their own peril, of course. The mockery that may ensue would probably be great.

4th Floor Common Room, Afternoon

Fandom High had it's traditions. It had it's gremlins, weird lockers, zombie band, and shirtless students. It also had another, slightly less wide spread, but no less bizarre tradition. A very personal tradition, really.

Which is why there was a polar bear lounging on the floor in front of the TV and the AC was turned on to full blast. The polar bear also had a giant tub of ice cream and, even more randomly, an old fashioned glass bottle of Coca-Cola.

Space Battles IV was playing on the TV. The remote was well hidden underneath a couch, along with a pile of clothes.

[ooc: Marco is still cuter than Anders. Open!]

The Deck, early evening Thursday

Dinah had hamburgers and hot dogs, some veggie platters and chips and dip, soft drinks and cake. Oh, and ice cream in the fridge inside for later.

Happy birthday, Will Shakespeare! Oh, and her too.

[very limited OCD about to go up!, for early justice and time zones; set before Dress Rehearsal/Previews.

Anyone welcome, even if you don't know her! I'm sticking to Dinah's thread to keep it simple.]

Second Floor Common Room, Wednesday Evening

Firekeeper and Blind Seer wandered in to the common room at the usual time for Darkest Night, only to find... reruns. Bah.

Oh well. Just because she'd seen this episode before wasn't going to stop her from watching it again.

[ooc: open, of course!]

4th Floor Common Room, Evening

At some point, Marco had stopped hitting the panic button every ten seconds and was now instead in a nice state of numb acceptance. He was also randomly snapping camera phone pictures. Just because.

Jadie on her part was practicing cartwheeling off of the bed. Fluffy, who was back in Marco's loving care, was trying to mimic her and just tumbling off of the couch.

Marco had also turned on the TV and dragged out his video game collection and console figuring that his fellow classmates deserved a bit of a break.

[ooc: Open!]

Fifth Floor Common Room, Late Saturday Morning

"There's some orange juice in the fridge," Ronan said, as he pulled two tumblers out of the cupboard. "D'you want to pour us some?"

He started assembling items for breakfast -- eggs, bread, bacon, sausage...

[Open! And there will be lots of food to share, oh yes.]

Around the Dorms - Late Tuesday Morning

Late Tuesday morning, several copies of a poster went up around the dorms.

4th Floor Common Room, Post Un-zombiefying

Marco was half passed out on a couch in the common room. The problem with being a wolf all day was that he kept having to re-morph and wolves used different muscles then humans. The result was that he felt like he had run about forty miles and was refusing to move.

He did have the energy to put on one of the meta forJames Bond movies and put out a few bowls of mints. Yeah. Mints.

Fifth Floor Common Room, Wednesday Night

Okay, so there had been zombies Monday night. That had kind of sucked. But they all got away okay, and now Sokka had zombies on the brain. Which is why he and Momo Jr. and a thick snuggly blanket and a bucket of popcorn and a bottle of Mountain Dew all sat down together for a zombie movie marathon. Really, what else could you do?

Second Floor Common Room, Wednesday Evening

Tonight was the World War I flashback episode with a hot guest star, lots of time in the trenches and enough homoerotic subtext to keep Mason's fangirls squeeing for weeks. Plus, of course, Lee Nicholas, who would be shirtless for at least one scene, if Tony remembered right. Poor James Taylor Grant. He would keep getting those flesh wounds in the torso area.

Tony had a bowl of popcorn and a can of pop and was in his usual spot on the couch in the common room to watch Darkest Night.

The dorm lawn- Wednesday night at 2 am

At 2 am exactly, a loud buzzing sound rang through the dorms. An not just any buzzing. A loud, obnoxious "BZZZT!" followed by a two-second pause, followed by another "BZZZT!", followed by another two-second pause, followed by a... You get the idea. And the really bad part was the way it tended to feel like it was inside your head when it "BZZZT"ed as you were passing by in the halls.

So due to the "BZZZT"ing and fire safety regulations, the students had to drag their tired, cranky selves out of bed (or whatever), make their way down the halls and stairwells, and file out onto the dorm lawn in the chilly, damp weather, and did we mention it was 2 am?

The Fandom fire department was on hand, but they'd probably make everyone wait for a while just because they were cranky, too.

[And here is your fire drill post! See here for details.

How did it take us three years to do this, game? How?]

Fourth Floor Common Room: Wednesday Morning

Jamie woke up this morning feeling more hungry than usual. Almost ravenous.

And he wanted pancakes. And Pie. But he also didn't want to wait to go to down or go out for ingredients so he used what he had on hand.

Which is why a certain (and now almost empty) bag of flour was used that had a certain teacher's signature on it.

Not that Jamie cared of course, because now there were pancakes and pecan pie. Lots of them. And because he wanted to eat them as soon as they were made there were six Jamies eating the pie and pancakes as soon as they were ready.

With a disturbing lack of table manners.
