While doing some exploring, Rey had come across the garage. She didn't know how long it'd been since this place was really in use, but she'd definitely never heard of anyone being here as long as she'd been around.

Apparently this was going to be her night. She'd gone through pieces and parts that she had found, just to see what was there, and then she'd found an old speeder bike covered with a cloth that she didn't think had an owner? So now she had to test it to see what kind of shape it was in, naturally.

[Hey, this place exists! Open!]

After returning from Gaia on the holidays, Cloud had neglected to take care of his baby Fenrir for a while, and now that he was checking the engine, he had to accept the fact that moving from Fandom to Gaia and the other way around was perhaps a bit demanding for it. Stupid trans-dimensional travels. It wasn't as if he could drive the bike around in town, not without being forced to go very, very slow. And taking it to the mainland? It might attract too much attention.

At any rate, it was sitting and working on it for now. It was a good way to use his time, classes-less as he was. He would perhaps go and try to find people to talk with later, but for now? He had a responsibility with his bike. He might even do a ltitle test run around, if the weather allowed it.

Nothing like the smell of oil and the sound of metal against metal to pass the time. Or at least that was Cloud's personal opinion. Having left Fenrir behind when he came to Fandom had resulted on the poor motorcycle -his poor, poor baby- being unused and now it was in need of some serious safety checks before even dreaming to taking it out for a test ride. Last thing Cloud wanted was to break something -like Fenrir- on the middle of the town and then being forced to drag the thing all the way back to the garage. Not that working on it wasn't entertaining, and a wonderful way to kill time, but he would be a lot less crankier in the days to come if he managed to do it good at the fist attempt.

So there he was, crouching next to Fenrir, slowly taking apart the massive engine. The motorcycle had its sword storage cabinets opened, so it looked like a big bat-looking thing on wheels, also covering much of Cloud.

And Cloud was so not humming. Nope, not happening. You are obviously hearing things.

[Open garage, open post!]

Barely taking the time to drop her things off in her room and change into more normal attire, Leda quickly made her way to the garage to unwind from her trip.

She sank onto the seat of her motorcycle with a sigh. "Hello old friend, did you miss me? I missed you."

Worst, vacation, ever.

[Leda is back from her trip home. Post is open.]

Ben was pretty sure that even Ender would draw the line at Ben trying to reconstruct a junk in their room, so he was down in the garage going through the spare parts Jaina had told him about and consulting the schematics he'd drawn up.

Most Earth-based boats wouldn't move as quickly as Ben was planning to try, for one.

He was certainly making enough racket to be heard from quite a distance away. Getting his attention might take a bit of work.

Over the weekend, Jaina had accumulated a lot of spare parts that she had no idea what to do with. This happened when you were eight and in need of a homework droid. After a few days of deciding that she could do nothing with them, she brought them downstairs to add to the collection of parts she'd amassed over three years. And then once she was down there, she started tinkering with the bike, and then she just ended up putting coveralls over her clothes to do some of the real maintenance. It was just that kind of day, where you started out doing one thing and hours later you were so busy you couldn't remember what you originally came down here for. And then when she got up to get one of her tools-

"...I'm on a horse," she realized, not sure where it had come from or if it was going to go away anytime soon. Looks like doing something you hadn't planned on doing was just a theme for the day.

[Open. I wanna be on a horse.]

There had been a couple talks lately that had made Jaina think that getting back into the garage was a good idea. She hadn't done much at all since she'd finished the hoverboard... nearly two years ago, which she didn't really like. It wasn't really something she'd meant to give up, especially if she couldn't work on the ships back home while she was here.

So she was in the garage, in grease-stained coveralls that were actually looser than they had been when she first got to Fandom, doing some routine maintenance on the swoop bike between calls she had to make for work. She was trying to multitask.

That would be a lot easier if she could find her hydrospanner. It was probably a good thing she hadn't seen the little blue things take off with it, lest she think they were oxygen-deprived gremlins or something.

Molly had told Karal that she was going to try to be more social while he was gone, but she also remembered something else she hadn't done in a while: ride her swoopbike. She'd checked on it when she came back, just to make sure that John had taken care of it properly, but she hadn't actually ridden it since the first part of the summer. The weather was so nice out today, she decided that she could go for a quick ride and then go be social.

Molly entered the garage and tossed her riding jacket onto one of the benches before hunkering down next to her bike to give it a thorough going over before heading out.

Jaina wasn't so good with being bored, which was why she had a project. After a not-so-quick yet handwavey trip to the junkyard to see what she could scavenge, she set up shop (so to speak) in the garage, where she didn't have to worry about being messy or getting in Inara's way, and could take up as much room as she wanted while sticking lots of pieces of metal together.

Hard at work and yet distractable.
