Survivors who had enough mind and memory left to be survivors were mostly smart enough to avoid this entrance by now. If the writhing, glowing, sometimes moaning mass of flesh and moving body shapes (not all of them humanoid) spread across the doors and masonry wasn't enough to spur them to find another way in, then the blind pink face of a former friend or loved one pushing half out of the undulating surface for a moment, mouth open in (agony)(ecstasy)(forever) usually did the trick. Even if it seemed to call to them. Especially if it seemed to call to them.

The thing that used to be Bo wasn't going hungry, though. No hungrier than it had ever been, which was (always)(ravenous)(forever). The mindless ones, the broken ones who couldn't bring themselves to care anymore, the hollow, the warped and the wounded, the strangers when they came, the animals, even, their natural instincts lost... Something always wandered near enough, eventually.

All it had to do was wait.

Bunnies bunnies bunnies bunnies-- half the bunnies had gone to Pinkie, to decorate her office; Kenzi had kept the bunny chair; and about a fourth were now going to be detailed for a special project.

But the rest were now arranged on the roof in a Bunny Exhibition. A bunny crime scene, with a paint out-line for the deceased, bunny coroners, bunny crime scene techs, a bunny crowd mourning and taking pictures on their bunny iPhones; it was awesome. More paint to explain this was outside the Bunny Club, and seriously, she should charge admission.

She beamed over at Bart. "Do you think we need more crowd, or more bunny police?"

[for the roomie, and expecting one other, but open to tourists!]

A day after Fandom's arrival in Arkham Reservoir, something changed.

It started with the water underneath Fandom's rocky base. Shortly after night had set in, something pushed itself upwards, displacing rock and earth and mud on its way. It cracked the surface within minutes, splitting the main campfire apart. Water spilled forth from the newly-created gash, leaving behind a shallow pool.

It wasn't much. It could have been caused by the rain. Except the fissure that had spilled it was visible right beneath the surface, and with it, this most peculiar piece of meteor, of a color somewhat hard to define.

In the morning, various members of the administration assembled to assess the damage. )

[[ the main campfire has now been roped off from the public. feel free to ping in with reactions/curious chattering among students/etcetera ]]
