After spending some time poking around the alley behind Luke's, Veronica found herself standing outside of Dr. Grissom's apartment. She hoped that she could obtain his assistance without having to give away too many of her secrets.

Taking a deep breath, she knocked on his door.

Inside, Grissom looked up from his laptop, slightly surprised by the knock on his door. He saved the document he was working on and stood up quickly, walking over to the door and opening it just a crack, before seeing Veronica and opening it fully.

"Ms. Mars. Hello," he greeted her with a hint of concern.

"Hi, Dr. Grissom. Sorry to bother you on a Sunday, but, well, I kind of need a favor," she said, not quite meeting his eyes.

Grissom noted both the formality of her tone and her lack of eye contact. He gestured inside the apartment with his free hand.

"Would you like to come in?"

What happened in room 146?? )

[ooc: the fact that Veronica stopped by Grissom's room is fine for broadcast. Content of their convo? Not so much. Pre-played via email with [livejournal.com profile] drgrissom. IC interaction not possible, OOC comments okay.]

Jaye's set up a little table. There's a little mug on it for donations, because art supplies cost money, yo.

On the little table? Flags. Felt flags covered in glitter and bows and sticky things. They're very pretty.

The flags have felt letters on them. They spell out:

PRINCIPAL GLITTER/NINJA OTP!

Totally worth any trouble she gets into.

[Jaye's left now, as I have to get back to work. However, she will be around later. Flags and all. =)]

Grissom staples a few fliers on several floors of the dorms, that read as follows.

Here over Winter Break?

I need a student to watch a few of my pets over Winter Break.
Any interested parties must not be squeamish around members of the insect kingdom, or the smell of rotten meat.
Care is not required daily, but several times a week from December 24th on.
Compensation will be provided.
If interested, stop by Room 146 or the Sociology lab.

[Here's the deal: Grissom has a bunch of buggies. I need someone to keep them alive while he's gone in Vegas. He'll give you his card key, so you have access to his apartment. All I ask is that you leave Sue the racing roach alive, don't destroy everything in his apartment, and if you use his forensics equipment, not to use it on other players without their consent. Le simple, no? Grissom will pay your character, and there's the bonus for your character of being able to have total access to Grissom's apartment and toys over break to get yourself in trouble with, if you get bored. Help a geek out?]

*Feeling much better, though apologetic for giving Grissom her illness, Sara heads to his room.*

*She might not eat chicken noodle soup, but he does. As it is also a treatment day for him, she also wants to see how he is doing on that front.*

[ooc: Same old story--[livejournal.com profile] drgrissom only, please.]

Cally, after having enlisted the help of some gremlins through the power of sugar cookies, stands triumphant on the roof of the dorm building. She is wearing Anders' C-Bucs Jacket over her orange jumpsuit, along with the long multi-colored scarf the Doctor has leant her. It looks a little ridiculous, but the extra layers are helping keep her warm.

She begins unpacking the crates that she got the gremlins to haul up. Cally has a holiday weekend project. Her Dad has sent the last of the Viper parts, so she's going to put it back together.

...on the roof. Without administration approval. Let's see how this goes, eh?

[[ooc: Totally open to interaction. I'm sure the people who live in the attics will notice the noise.]]

Room 217 - Maia and Grissom - NFB

[OOC: This conversation was played on AIM because LJ today is the devil. Therefore, the conversation is finished and the post is not open to further interaction with either character. And yes, we stole the brilliant posting concept from last night because it is SO much better than posting a chat log. You evil geniuses.]

Maia

Maia sat in her room after the Festival thinking of the tension between Justin and Lana. Maia sighed heavily and then smiled at the thought of Chiana trying a candy apple for the first time. She glanced over at the picture of her and Sara on the desk and sighed again. You're moving on, I'm moving on. I want you to be happy, I really do.

*Once again, the door is cracked open when Sara approaches. She raps her knuckles against the frame, walking in.*

Hey--how're you feeling? *Her voice is gentle.*

*She notices his door was cracked open. Forgoing her normal politeness, she enters without announcing her presence.*

*She sees him curled up on the couch, misery on his face, even in sleep. A bucket is on the floor next to him.*

*Unable to stifle the urge, she gently strokes a hand down one side of his face.*
