It was a particularly gorgeous day out, and Tip didn't have any classes or work or anything she needed to get done. She did have a care package from home, full of snacks from Mom's current grocery store (which included basically anything that would stand up to being dipped or coated in dark chocolate), a case of birch beer, and the world's ugliest belt, courtesy of J.Lo.

She was absolutely rocking that ugly ass belt, thank you. She was also munching on chocolate covered edamame and flipping through the paperback her mom had sent her (a cheesy looking YA romance about gay dragons, excellent) and kicking her feet out into the open air in a manner that would probably make anyone afraid of heights moan and cringe. Rihanna was playing on her phone, the sun was shining on her face, and all was right and pleasant in the world.

Having been an unwilling victim of suspended animation for most of the Spring, Dipper was doing his best to acclimate to his new environment. Which at this point is him attempting to catch on everything that had happened for the last semester on TV and comic books.

Anyone wandering into the common room would find Dipper streaming episodes of Tiger Fist on TV, surrounded by copies of comic books and multiple types of snack food as he binges on... well pretty much everything.

The great thing about having class only one day per week is that you can spend the rest of the week exploring the island.

However the only exploring Dipper was doing today was whatever cereal he could find in the kitchen area and watching Tiger Fist

Dipper cheered when the tiger punched himself in the face. "I love TV."

This was unbelievable. This whole school was a mess. Xanthippe had been keeping mostly to herself for the past two weeks, because what even was this place? She hated it here, and she was like, totally sure they were slipping her drugs somehow because there was no other way that class with the ponies made any sense.

But she'd just been on the phone with her mom – again – arguing for why she needed to get back to Connecticut, and how this whole island was a freak show, and it wasn't healthy, come on, it was like totally stunting her mental growth to be here with these people and this environment –– and her mom had said no. She'd said no. Double-you tee eff?

And now Xanthippe was having to dig through a bunch of other people's groceries in the fridge just to get to her diet soda from yesterday.

"Gross. Gross. Gross."

Ugh. She did not approve of your choices of food and beverages, people using the fourth floor fridge. Not at all. She needed a fridge for her room, stat.

A tripod with a video camera had been set up in the common room and it was currently pointed at the kitchen area. Dipper was also sitting in front of the camera holding up a cardboard sign (Formerly a pizza box) which read "Dipper's Guide to the Unexplained - Episode 2"

"Hi everyone!" Dipper said to the camera. "Today on the guide to the unexplained: How all this food in the common room magically appears. I'm going to stay here in this common room until I get to the bottom of this."

He paused for a moment to consider what he just said.

"Except for bathroom breaks."

...

"And I guess classes and showering."

Dipper could feel the commitment to this mystery wavering.

Dipper decided today to do something healthy. Like work out with the weight machine to try to perform a bench press.

It wasn't working well. He could barely push the bar up.

If one listen closely, they could hear him mutter "Stupid. Noodle. Arms."

Hopefully no one else would be around to witness his humiliation.

After he visited Alluka, Anders had gone back to his room to tidy as a way to stop him from thinking so bloody much. And, at the bottom of a pile of papers dating back to the summer before, he found the heavy gold earring he hadn't worn in ... it had to have been at least since before the spring cruise. Maybe longer.

And when he went to put the thing back in, he found his earlobe had sealed clean over. It was almost as if the hole had never been there at all.

Having a nice hoop earring and no pierced ear to wear it in was a sad state of affairs, wasn't it? Clearly it had to be remedied. The first time he'd pierced it, an older girl in the Circle dorms held the needle. This time ... he didn't know who to ask. He suspected his friends would tell him to go get it done in some shop, which seemed vaguely excessive. So he took the supplies as he remembered them -- rubbing alcohol, needle, and block of ice -- to the boys' restroom and set up to quickly put a new hole in his head.

He had forgotten that the first time he'd had it done, they'd used whiskey instead of rubbing alcohol, and he'd been fortified by three or four generous pours before the needle touched his flesh. This time, he was sober as a stone. Anyone walking past the boys' bathroom tonight would get quite the education in rude comments that could be made about the Bride of the Maker, her underthings, and her personal proclivities.

[OOC: IDEK, man. I thought of this and it made me giggle so I posted it. Open, though.]
