After knocking a few times, he got the message that she wasn't there.

When he had gotten home from work, he had found their 'old' cellphone and installed the chip, setting up the phone with her name and some sort of stupid welcome message. He had then tested it by calling his phone, and saved her number, just in case he needed to annoy her at any given time.

Now, he was crouched by her door, wrapping the cell up in a few napkins and leaving a note for her before going.

You left your chip at the store,
so I installed it. It works fine.

Parker was trying to avoid thinking.

She'd re-done the math from Biology. Depending on whether a certain gene existed on its own-- depending on whether it was dominant or recessive-- depending on whether she had it or not--

It's not like she wanted kids, anyway. But realizing what kind of risk they'd be running, their entire lives...

So, yeah. She wanted to call Jarod. But she was pretty sure that would be a bad idea, whether or not she got him on the phone.

After doing a whole lot of . . . well, nothing useful at all, really, for most of the day, Nadia was continuing the trend.

Currently, she was watching a documentary about different snakes around the world.

The lady who caught the anacondas in Brazil was awesome.
