His Pyramid ball had finally been found and stashed away carefully in its proper place in his gym bag in the closet (and he had no idea how the hell it had ended up wedged between two branches of a tree, but he blamed the squirrel that had been running, jumping, climbing trees, and putting on makeup while it was up there). His coffee maker had been fixed, thanks to Teddy. So that was two crises averted.

This? Called for celebration of a low-key sort involving food. Therefore Anders was making pancakes. Not with any intent to steal Pippi's thunder; pancakes were just easy to make, and pretty damn tasty with whipped cream and fruit toppings, both of which he had.

. . . look, it was a good excuse to try out that combination pancake flipper/tongs/whisk doohickey he'd bought off a late-night infomercial, all right? That probably explained the sheer number of pancakes.

[OOC: Yeah, so I've been listening to Eddie Izzard almost nonstop for a week now, okay? I don't think I could stop quoting him now if I tried. Big database-reliant project + glacially slow database == extremely tedious waiting time. Tedious waiting time == very bored me. Therefore, common room == so totally open it's not funny.]

There was a cake, chocolate frosting and sprinkled with so much suger and candy and other sweet things that it looked like it could have been salvaged from a Wonka shoppe explosion, sitting in a corner of the kitchenette, under a glass cover, with a note.

In Ancient times, if you stole something, they cut off your hands.

I've always been an old-fashioned girl.

Don't touch.
--Setsuna Sakurazaki.

She had handwavily baked the cake after War Theory, but had other things to take care of before the field trip seventh period. She figured it was safe to leave it there; Jude wouldn't wander in with his injury. Shouldn't, anyway, and if she found out that he had, he'd have more to worry about than just a broken ankle. The note, then, was for other people.

But even that didn't seem a safe enough guard while she was out doing other things. So, standing guard in front of the cake with her butter knife sword, was Mini-Setsuna, keeping stern and stoic watch over the door, ready to defend her Master's masterpiece.

It had been longer than Dean wanted to admit since the last time he'd had a good sparring session. So he was looking forward to this afternoon's activities when he entered the gym and began to warm up as he waited for Alec to arrive.

[Dean's here for [livejournal.com profile] x5_alec, but open for all your workout needs.]

The twins run by Setsuna's room and leave this note.

//Dear Setsuna,
We're going to pick you up Saturday afternoon to go to the haunted house.
See you then,
Hikaru and Kaoru Hiitachin//

They then scampered off.

River had handwavily found a present for Blair that she hadn't been able to resist buying. Giving presents made her nervous though, so she left it hanging in a plastic bag on the door handle to his room, nicely wrapped in tin foil and with a card attatched. There was a drawing of Berthold on the card.

Billy set up the Petition on the coffee table with a bag of chips, and several pens.
