The Gym--Afternoon

It had been a while since Dawn had practiced her own fighting skills, and she had a lot more ground to cover if she was going to be any help to Mel or Buffy as a Watcher. If nothing else, she needed to be able to defend herself long enough that one of them could get to her.

So now she was working out with one of the wooden practice swords. Thrust, guard, thrust, block. She concentrated on her grip, the arc of her arm when she moved, her balance and weight. Stepping carefully, and making sure she didn't accidentally cut off her own body parts.

Guard, arc, arm up, spin, backhand strike.

Mel is settling down on the couch when she comes across "The Archivist: Fate of Spike" followed by "The Archivist 2: Return to King Goomba's Mine."
