Jack was sprinkling something on the floor of the common room.

The stuff had finally arrived in today's mail, along with a letter he refused to think about, and he was testing it before he did the entire room, which was why a corner of the kitchen floor was looking rather whiter than usual. Satisfied it was covered, he grabbed a jug of water and poured it over the powder.

It instantly became ice. "All right!"

Jack shoved all the furniture against the walls, stacking it as necessary, ran downstairs to grab a hose from the front lawn, dragged it upstairs, hooked it to the kitchen sink, coated the floor in powder and then leapt up onto the counter to to spray it with water.

It didn't take long before he was standing in what was effectively an indoor ice rink. Grinning gleefully, he hopped off the counter, scrabbled briefly for balance, then pushed off the wall to slide gracefully across the room. "Don't even need skates."

[ooc: Open like a common room, and here's the thing: the ice will melt directly to a harmless gas, as in the movie Real Genius (but there will be no Madam Curie look alike contest), causing absolutely no damage to the room. The room will be moddably foggy as time progresses and the ice will be completely gone in, say, an hour!]

Jamie was up early and had taken over the second floor common room today. He had thoughtfully sent a dupe out to pick up a ton of baked goods from J'GOB and also had take out containers of coffee from The Perk. (Because let's face it the best coffee is the coffee someone else makes)

He was currently kicking his feet up on the couch as he waited for the DVD Menu of Attack of the Killer Tomatoes Ambush of the Murderous Rutabagas to start.

"Man there are a lot of trailers on this thing."

Open like a common room should be.

Nadia was making an attempt not to be emo.

No, seriously, she really was. That's why she wasn't on the roof. Well, that, and because it looked like it was going to rain, and being on the roof in the rain would be, like, doubleplusmegasuperemo, more emo than even she could stomach right now.

So she was lying on the floor listening to Hannah Montana, doodling in her notebook, and pondering the mysteries of what it must be like to be a teenaged pop star and try to have a normal life.

That actually helped. Because whatever she was doing, at least it wasn't trying to do a world tour while attending high school. . . .

[ooc: open!]
