Alec was holding court in the common room, taking advantage of having Dean ready to bend to his every whim and desire - which was being used for non-evil or dirty purposes as Dean made Alec milkshake after milkshake.

Anyone stopping by would also get a milkshake. Alec's logic said that Dean's were the best, so everyone should get one, despite the possibility of souring his double on milkshakes in general for years to come.
