5th Floor CR, Thursday Afternoon

The week was well on its way before Romeo did much outside his room, but this afternoon he was, at long last, bored of his own company and the inside of his own head.

He emerged to make his way to the common room, where an idea overtook him. If at some point he'd have a child who was devoted to waffles (and that seemed at least more likely than the other two possibilities the weekend had thrown at him) it might serve him well to be able to make the things without help from a toaster.

Granted, he couldn't cook. But he could read and so, intrepidly, he found himself standing at the counter, squinting at a recipe and hoping the mess wouldn't be too bad to clean up.

If nothing else, he would have killed an afternoon.

Second Floor Common Room; Thursday Evening.

With a big sigh and dragging feet, Turtle had made her way out of her bedroom, down the hall, and into the common room, where she ceremoniously snatched up the remote control before plopping dramatically onto the couch. She sprawled slightly, confortably, and sighed again, heavily, before pressing the button to turn on the TV. Flipping through the channels, she continued to think morosely about how she'd worked through everything there was to be worked through in her room and was not resorting to trying to find something decent or interesting or fun on a Thursday ni--

Ooooh, C-Span.

She sat up a little. But she was still going to complain, if anyone asked, how she hated these periods of internem when there was nothing interesting going on that she could really care about because she had a few years until graduation anyway. Bring on the new semester already, yeesh.

Sometimes Turtle simply had no patience. And way too much boredom.
