The weekend had been weird. At least that's how one might put it if they were prone to understatement. It turned out that Triela was, in fact, prone to understatement. So weird was going to be how she put it.

But it hadn't been stressful, and she'd managed to get her report off to Hilshire. She had half-expected him to call her about that expenditures list, but it really wasn't his style. Since he hadn't responded yet she didn't have replacement ammunition, and that meant she was extremely low on 12-gauge rounds. So today there were no shotguns in sight, just her usual stack of pistols and SMGs.

"Okay people," she announced when enough people had arrived. "Nothing fancy today. Just shooting." She flashed a grin. "I suspect we've all had enough excitement for the next little bit."

Everyone was depressed and that, in turn, was making Chuck depressed. Wait, no. Not depressed. Freaking annoyed. Oh boo freaking hoo, you had to say goodbye to people you had only known for three days. It was so irritating having everyone upset over the same thing. Well, except, for some people on the third floor who were apparently upset for other reasons when he walked by.

He didn't want to know. He really, really didn't want to know.

So, in attempt to get away from the emo, he (ironically) when up to the roof of emo to smoke. And not brood. Because he didn't miss his stupid kids. Nope. This was not brooding. This was staring intently.

[omg I'm trying to avoid work. open roof is open, of course]

As Anakin had mentioned in the handwavy email he had sent to students' email accounts, sometimes unplanned children couldn't be blamed on a portal or Fandom weirdness. And if they had come back twice? Woe be it upon you, John Sheppard.

So he was in the front of his classroom with a series of beyond thorough pamphlets on contraception, abstinence, and pictures of STDs. He also had a truly horrifying collection of educational videos to show.

Anakin had slapped on a sign on the door welcoming people to the seminar:

I AM STILL TOO HOT TO BE A GREAT-GRANDFATHER
And other reasons why children should remain hypothetical for a long, LONG time
(Skywalker presence mandatory)

Trainwrecks, anyone?

They'd made the call on radio last week. Arthur had gained permission from the Lady of the Castle. Now, there was the mere hope that people were actually interested. Arthur stood by the dorm walls, leaning his back gently against it. He was trying to keep the pressure off of his bandage. He considered both of his compatriots with an idle glance. "So," he said. "With any luck, this won't be long."

"Eh, they can take all the time they want," Reno mused, idly patting down his pockets to see if he'd brought his smokes. He hadn't. "It ain't like I'm goin' anywhere anytime too soon, yo. It'll probably take a while to whip people here into shape, anyhow."

"You're telling me," Arthur said, dryly. It didn't keep him from tossing the occasional watchful, antsy glance 'round the corner to see if anyone was coming. He was a little out of his depth here.

"Won't be all that bad, yo." Reno gave up on hunting down the smokes altogether. "If they don't listen, just kick 'em harder'n they can kick you, and it'll all fall into place."

"Oh, I'm not worried about that," Arthur replied. He had enough confidence in that department. Except not really, but it wouldn't help any of them if he voiced that. "Merely about numbers." Odds were always on his mind around here.

"If only three people show up," Reno decided, "that's just when you kick 'em harder still. Make it count."

Well, Arthur supposed he could live with that.

[[ wee ocd coming up. feel free to just stop by and talk shop with the guys; commitment-free non-club ahoy! ]]
