When Worf awoke, he was surprised to find various communications from the Enterprise. While he was aware that in that timeline he was a fellow officer he did not expect them to know so much of his private life.

An additional surprise was a package that had arrived as gift from Commander Riker along with a note saying that he had picked it up while on an officer exchange program with a Klingon Battle Cruiser.

Worf responded to the greetings with a polite note, including a thank you to Commander Riker for the gift even though it was inappropriate to provide alcoholic beverages to teenagers.

He then embarked on the traditional hunt that he always took on this day returning to the cabin with cleaned and dressed venison roast that was now roasting over the campfire ring.

Various other dishes left over from the multi-cultural fair were also available as the venison roast finished cooking as well as a few bottles of Romulan Ale.

If it wasn't for the fact that this was Worf, people might think he was throwing a small party.

Yes. One might think that.

[Today is Worf's birthday so... kind of a party. Not that he'd admit that it is his birthday to anyone. Yes. Open.]

Arthur's dreams last night had been full of strange images of old, powerful wolves and golden lion cubs that he chose not to consider further. It was Morgana who got the nightmares, not him; he'd always slept fitfully and where needed.

Still, they had instilled a sudden restlessness in him, and rather than turn to the salle as he generally would, Arthur's travels brought him no further than the campfire that morning. He had no meat left of his last hunt, nor any furry fish to roast, so instead he sat down by the edge of the pit.

He did have some dried meat, and a few more dates he'd nicked off Leto earlier (well, not nicked. Commandeered. Requested, maybe, with implicit permission). They'd do for breakfast until Merlin showed up to get him enough for a proper one.

He wasn't going to admit that it was boredom that drove him out of his alcove and to the main campfire. He wasn't bored. He was just...without anything to do. Boredom he could have solved by sleeping. Nothing to do meant he wanted something to do and thus, he took himself to the main campfire. Despite the warmth, he lit the fire anyway. If anything, he could light his cigarettes on it.

Though, even he was intelligent enough to realize that was a really dumb idea and would only be tried if he got himself drunk. The snag in that idea was that he had no alcohol with him. Sad, really. He could have done with a nice bender.

Instead, he was just going to lay against a log and smoke for awhile. If he were some deep poet type, he'd call it stargazing. Since he wasn't that type, he was calling it relaxation. It worked for him.

[i declare this campfire open!]

Shilo had gone and gotten a laptop today, and had decided to play with it outside, next to the fire.

She was also trying to eat a s'more without getting any of it on the keyboard, which was an interesting process to observe.

[Open to any who wish to come along and watch Shi try to figure out her "historic" device. Or to snag a s'more.]
