It had occurred to Kennedy, particularly after talking to Reno in class today, that with a new batch of students on the island the prospect of cookies and the curiosity of a gathered crowd might not quite be enough to lure in new Reserves members.

So, being the type of girl who would take initiative and not stop to think about checking in with other people on it first, she took it upon herself to print out a bunch of flyers and slap them up around the dorms. They were pretty basic fare-- she wasn't a tech geek by any stretch of the imagination, and playing with font sizes and formatting in Word was about as fancy as she got. Fancy or not, she didn't care; they said what she wanted them to say.

Which was:

Do YOU like to hit things?

Interested in helping defend the school next time fighting goes down?

Military Reserves. Tuesday after workshops.

Behind the dorms.

Be there. We'll have cookies.

Nobody ever said she was eloquent. But she figured it got the job done.

[[establishy, but feel free to run into her. or add stuff to the fliers, if you're that one magic reserves leader who was gonna do it.]]

Katniss had spent the better part of her day -- that which was spent out of (admittedly, interesting) class -- wandering the island and familiarizing herself with her surroundings. So far, weather differences aside (and those were minimal), the woods of the preserve weren't terribly different from those outside of District 12, or what she'd hidden amongst in the Games. The beach was unfamiliar, and made her slightly anxious due to the lack of coverage or familiarity there.

She'd seen some of the little blue deer that the boy had mentioned on Saturday, but had decided not to shoot them. She had plenty to eat (and had even hidden a few things in her dresser, and under her bed, just in case) and hadn't encountered anyone she thought she could trade with.

But just because she wasn't hunting (and she still itched to, so that would need to be resolved), she didn't want to grow out of practice. Surely President Snow wouldn't be surprised -- if she was under surveillance -- to find she was keeping up with her archery. So Monday night found her grabbing her bow and quiver of arrows, and taking a walk through the gym to see this range she'd heard about. It was clearly meant for guns -- something that made her uncomfortable -- but the targets would work just as well for archery.

This was where she would be for the rest of the night, pausing every now and then to move the targets and make it more challenging.

[open as a range is! I am le bored, oui. :D]

After she got out of apocalypse class, Quinn called Coach Sylvester to politely ask what the hell she had been thinking by shipping her off to crazytown.

The conversation brought a few things to light. Namely: That the cheer coach had not gotten the censored version of the brochure.

Namely: That she thought it would be good for Quinn to deal with vampires, time travel, and aliens, because, as she put it, "I need a tougher captain if we're going to get anywhere your senior year."

Namely: That she didn't care at all if Finn ended up dumping Quinn while she was off fighting tomatoes with teeth. Which was just unfair, as far as Quinn was concerned.

Quinn decided the best thing for her to do would be not to think about it, so she pulled on workout clothes and went exploring until she found the gym. She cranked the stereo loud and put herself through a full cheer choreography rehearsal. It was a little hard pulling off some of the flips without a spotter, but Quinn didn't particularly care at the moment.

[OOC: Open gym post, yo.]

Asuna was feeling pretty energetic today but she still felt she needed a little more kick, Asuna entered the common room, looked around the cupboards, found what she needed and proceeded to brew a pot of coffee. After a few minutes brewing, Asuna poured herself a cup.

Mmmm... coffee!
