Once again the reserves members had been handwavily notified that the meeting would be in the Danger Shop, but did that mean the traditional snacks would be forgotten? Of course not.

Of course there were cookies -- a lot of them seemed to have cherries in them, for some reason, and others had various fruit-jelly fillings as well. There was also a small pile of tubes of Spree, courtesy of Kennedy, who was grateful not to be a hedgehog this week but also more than a little eager to get rid of some of the source of yesterday’s sugar hangover.

“So we--” because she’d been here too, watching, shut up-- “did some footwork and coordination stuff last week, right? This week we’re gonna try and work on being sneaky, a little.” Kennedy waved a hand around the Danger Shop. “So you guys get to run a maze.”

“The maze isn’t really the sneaky part, though,” Zack added, perking up as he stuffed a couple of Spree tubes into his pockets. You guys totally didn’t see that. Honest. “The maze is all about finding your way through unfamiliar terrain, or something like that. The sneaky part is that there are ghosts in the maze, and they’re hungry.

Fear.

“Also I think they have names, but anyway.” Kennedy was not pocketing any candy, thank you. “Don’t worry, they’re sorta goofy-looking ghosts. Like bedsheet-over-your-head type, so no trauma. Anyway.” She waved a hand. “Go. Maze it up. Try not to get fake-eaten.”

And for the love of everything, don’t ask about that ‘waka-waka-waka’ sound.

Alex didn't have a damn thing going on today which made it easier to decide to hoof it out to the campfire and take a seat there. Outside meant he could smoke and not get bitched at by cabinmates. Outside meant he could watch people passing by, maybe entertain himself by annoying them. Outside meant not feeling like the walls were closing in.

He was feeling a little better than he had been the past few weeks but that still wasn't anything special. He lit a cigarette and leaned back against one of the logs, glancing up at the overcast sky before looking back around the camp site and wondering when the other shoe would drop. Things had been quiet for too long. It was bound to change.

[Open, of course. Working late at work so entertainment is neeeeeeeeeeded!]

Tara had spent much of the day hard at work with posterboard and glue, and was posting the results around the campsite.

Cut for image. )

[Text: Magic & Support Reserves! Witches, researchers & healers unite! The Magic & Support Reserves needs you. New members always welcome for games, chat and free snacks. Wednesday, main campfire, after classes. Call Tara at 555-WCCA.]

She hoped the posters would bring in at least a few new members tomorrow, and was trying to ignore her fear of talking in front of a lot of new members.

[OOC: Establishy only, as now I sleep! Reserves post will be up tomorrow.]
