Shira still wasn't entirely sure about this place, but her Queen had wanted her to go here, so she hadn't argued. And she was even willing to give it a try, as strange as the place seemed.

She was sitting in the common room at the moment, having dug around in the cold box -- refrigerator, she thought it was called -- and come up with a can of something that called itself Pepsi. She'd tried it cautiously, found it sweet and sugary, and figured it wasn't so bad.

And now she was on the couch, watching the TV in fascination and horror.

[Open as common rooms are!]

It was that time of year again, and Kennedy had posters to put up around the dorms. She'd gone all out and ordered them from a printer this time, but the printer had taken some, uh, liberties with the poster design and it was too late to have them changed now.

Which meant that Kennedy, with a roll of posters under one arm and scotch tape in her pocket, was sporting a killer bitchface.

As for the posters going up? Under an Uncle Sam-style picture of a pointing gremlin, the slogan read:

Do you want to protect the island not run away like a girl in the face of danger?
If so, the Reserve is the place for you!
Located next to the dorms, Tuesdays after class.
Cookies AND COFFEE provided.

Guess which part she was bitchfacing at.

Also, guess who added the "AND COFFEE." (Hint: It wasn't Kennedy.)

[[mostly establishy, but feel free to run into her. the posters are totally [livejournal.com profile] inneedofcoffee's awesome fault.]]

George was bored. And so George went to one of those common rooms, picked up the remote, and began channel-surfing.

One station was re-running the movie Hint, and nothing else seemed to be on, so she was going to go with it.

She rummaged in the kitchen to find microwaveable popcorn and settled in for the movie. People could join her, if they felt like it. It was a common room and all.

(Very open!)
