It had been Alexander's turn to pick what he and Scully would be making for lunch, so, of course, they were going to be taking on the ambitious but familiar project of a roasted whole chicken, bread, and vegetables. Of course, this would take a bit longer than pasta or other options, but, really, with the convenience of modern ovens, it was still going to be much quicker than the methods Alexander was more accustomed to.

Still, he got to the common room with their foodstuffs a little early, getting a start on the prep work until Scully arrived. In a few short hours, they'd have a wonderful, delicious meal to enjoy and share.

Hopefully.

[[ Alexander's cooking with [livejournal.com profile] showmetheproof, but of course the common room is open! Feel free to tag in after the food is finished, too! Up a little early since there'll be slow-to-no-play from me in a little bit until evening! ]]

Faramir's morning had consisted of a high amount of sneaking around. Well, at least a higher amount than was usual, he had escaped Maladicta's room before she'd woken up. It sounded much more exciting than it had been as she had merely offered him the spare bed once he found his roommate in desperate need for some privacy. It was almost like having Boromir here.

So now, after tending to Baru's, Faramir was in the salle, hoping that his disappearance that morning would not have angered Maladicta into standing him up. He was testing the practise blades which the school provided as he waited for her. They felt uncomfortable in his hand, their balance not quite perfect, but it seemed better to use them instead of real blades.

[Open salle, omg.]

Elphaba, in an effort to stop being so gloomy around people, was making a concerted effort to try and be a bit more pleasant today. That meant putting on a smile and not worrying about Oz, or Nessarose, or even flying fish.

It also meant making a large fruit salad, with a liberal sprinkling of sugar. It wasn't as if she had a particular sweet tooth, it just seemed like a good idea for attracting other students if it was sweeter.

She settled in to a seat on a couch, and hesitantly switched on the TV. A re-run of a Mythbusters episode appeared, and Elphaba was promptly baffled.

[ooc: Open common room, open post!]

Squall stood on the roof, gazing off into the distance. He wasn't looking AT anything in particular, just sort of staring. Who knew? Maybe the fish would come back.

He wasn't emo, he wasn't moody, he wasn't introspective, he wasn't anything like that. He was just staring off into the distance, that was all. Couldn't a guy stare off into the distance without other people making assumptions about his mood?

[Open roof of emo is open for emo.]
