The baby cried.

James had tried everything he could think of to make the false child stop crying, tricks he had seen the nurses use on the royal twins Borric and Erland, tricks Mockers used to quiet their own children, and tips he had overheard from others on the island.

He was attempting a final method: ignoring the problem. The droid baby was perched in the far corner of one of the Common Room couches, encased by pillows, in the hopes that whatever powered the fey-made thing would tire whilst James made a well-needed lunch.

Alexander was just about at his wits' end with the strange way he'd been feeling this week, but he had done well, he felt, with staving it off with a lot of coffee ice cream and handwavy movie nights that resulted in a few close calls and scooting slightly away from the normal proximity. And so it was this afternoon that hewas feeling the need for another coffee ice cream antidote and went into the common room to fetch it.

Only to open the freezer door to a truly disturbing image.

"No!" Alexander muttered, staring for a moment before he started shifting through the contents within. "No, it couldn't possibly...how...How could we have honestly gone through all of that ice cream already?"

He was just going to stare into the freezer in shock and dismay some more.

If anything, it was at least cooling him down.

Leia was still full of excess energy, and while Roy had been a lot of fun, attempting to seduce her roommate was just wrong. So she'd decided to do a two birds, one stone thing, and work off some of that energy in the salle. She'd told Blackagar in Macro-Tactics that she didn't know much about hand-to-hand combat. Her skills with a blaster weren't in question, but if she was ever disarmed or in close quarters, she needed to know more about defending herself. So she was punching away at a target dummy.

If it could laugh at her, it probably would.

[Expecting one, but open salle is open.]

The robot babies just wouldn't stop crying. Well, they would, and Squall had sort of gotten good at making them shut up, but they just started back up again a few minutes later. He'd tried Silencing them, but although that helped him not break the stupid things, it probably wouldn't do good things for his grade on the assignment. Better that he hear them and deal with them, then. Whatever.

It was either desperation or inspiration that prompted Squall to summon Carbuncle. Maybe a little of both. At any rate, there was now an adorable little Guardian Force keeping the things entertained while Squall sat and glared at the TV. And as an added bonus, the robots would also be impervious to magic for a little while afterward.

Squall's NEXT problem was that he couldn't find anything to watch that didn't suck. Big surprise, there.

Peter was bored, restless, and that was a dangerous combination. He made a big mug of hot cocoa and found something on the TV that would try and keep him occupied.

What he found was an Expose marathon on Spike. He'd never seen the show before, but right now strippers who fought crime while led by Billy Dee Williams?

That was exactly what he wanted to watch.

Oh, teenage boys.

So, Leda figured that if she could use her magic to throw things or shove people, then she ought to be able to use it to fly. Or at least levitate.

She wasn't about to try jumping from the roof of the building yet of course. She was trying just a bit of hovering in the gym first. Okay just, push against the floor with her magic and-

"Fuck!"

*Whump*

"Owowowowowowowowow!"
