As far as Nico knew, Luke was still recovering, and as such, it was up to him to get in some of his own workouts.

In lieu of Luke barking a constant string of orders at him, Nico had strung earbuds up through his armor to blast an angry mix of rock that he hoped would keep him focused and not distracted from his task. In a fight, his ADHD was designed to keep him on his toes and capable of reacting quickly to an opponent, but when there was no constant source of engagement, it was easy to find himself staring into space without knowing how much time had passed.

So far, the music was doing its job as Nico went through his usual sword drills, Stygian blade slicing dangerously through the air. If anyone human entered the Salle, he'd swap it out for a practice blade, but while he was alone, there was nothing wrong with practicing with his own weapon.
