There should not be anything strange about showering. That's like a rule. Unless you discover a lump that's not supposed to be there or find someone peeping in through your window, it's kind of a simple thing that shouldn't really require wtfing.

Yet halfway through Annie's shower, thankfully after she'd rinsed the shampoo from her hair, she thought she'd heard a noise outside, so she poked her head out from the curtain...And found a can of split pea and ham soup sitting in the middle of the floor where it hadn't been before. Just sitting there. As cans of soup do.

Annie stared at it.

It would have stared back if it had eyes.

Annie closed the curtain again. A moment later, the water turned off, and she pulled the towel around her before even opening the curtain again, half hoping the can would be gone.

It wasn't.

Still in complete silence, Annie tried to sneak past the completely motionless can of soup... and then nudged it with her foot, just to make sure it was really there. It was. It even moved.

Right then. Annie was just going to get dressed super quickly and flee before the soup, you know. Did anything.

[This is all [livejournal.com profile] dollpocalypse's fault. Annie's fled, but if you want to wtf at the soup sitting in the middle of the showers, go for it.]

Half to give Ender some time to process Val's disappearance and half because it was a good idea, Ben was putting up hand-written posters on various bulletin boards:

Relatives and/or friends back home gone missing? Leave your information here, or contact Ben (555-LGCY or Ender (555-ENDR)

They didn't have the first idea of what was happening, but knowing how big the problem had become might help. Maybe.

Still feeling more than a bit vexed (and not at all relieved to find out others were experiencing similar circumstances thanks to the posters she'd seen about), Elphaba busied herself in the common room kitchen that evening with baking a vegan apple pie.

She found that if she kept busy, she didn't get too upset. Which was important as she didn't want to accidentally break anything with her magic. Which seemed a likely possibility if she let herself go unchecked.

She had the TV in the common room tuned in to some strange television show about people who came into a shop to sell all sorts of odd things, and then would haggle with the shopkeeps. It was at least somewhat realistic, Elphaba thought to herself.

[ooc: Open common room!]

On her way to class, Caroline made a special run through the hallways putting up announcements for Miley's birthday party as you do )

Every ten feet or so, a section of wall earned itself a poster fresh from the printer! And yes, she totally hoped random strangers would show up just for the food, thus the choice of words. The cowboy boot shout out was the only hint to the country-western theme, but duh, it was for Miley. Caroline thought it was the adorably obvious part.

[Poster text: Guess who's legal? Can't go home? Come celebrate with Miley! This Wednesday Evening in the Park (near the flamingo lake). Come hungry, thirsty, and ready to dance! Note: Cowboy boots, while adorable, are OPTIONAL.
OOC: It's no surprise party, and it truly is open to all though this post is closed due to sleep. The graphic I managed is far lamer than the poster Caroline would've made, so let us pretend it is awesome >.> ]
