Dorothy arrived in the common room on her way back from the library. Still reading her big thick history book, she settled in on a sofa. After a moment, she looked up from her book at the television. It was off, as she'd not turned it on. For a moment she looked down at her book, then back at the television. After a moment of mental debate, she set her book to one side and rummaged about for the remote control.

Upon finding it she went through some trial and error in finding the correct buttons to turn it on, then to change the channel. She pressed a random assortment of numbers to arrive at a channel, deciding chance would be the best place to start with seeing exactly what programming was to be found. To her pleasure, the program seemed to be educational, a group of men and a ginger-haired woman experimenting with science to test strange stories. She made herself more comfortable and watched, enraptured by the flickering images.
