5th Floor Common Room, Tuesday Afternoon
Tuesday, July 16th, 2013 10:15 amTuesdays weren't going to be good days for Flick. He'd figured that out last week and he was pretty resigned to living with it now. His father was probably having a good laugh in his ivory tower about everything. That was, if his father even remembered that he existed. Flick was having doubts about that.
He didn't want to cope with his losses. He wanted to let them fester and eat at him because then, at least, he knew he was still alive. It gave him a reason to keep on going because his losses still eating at him meant the reason for those losses was still out there and still had to be dealt with. That kept Flick going.
Revenge was a strong motivator.
His classes for the week had been dealt with, the things he'd stolen a few days had been pawned and Flick was using some of the money he'd gotten from the sales to treat himself to a lunch that consisted of...a sandwich. He wasn't a big spender. Most of the money was getting sent back to Joi anyway. He just needed some to keep himself afloat.
He hadn't even bothered with the television today. There was probably nothing worth watching on and he didn't want to sit there and flip channels. He just wanted to try and keep himself on an even level even when nothing seemed to be going right.
