The Roof, Sunday Afternoon

Will really, really needed some fresh air. After waking up this morning without that disgusting thing feeding behind his ear, he'd almost felt like he was suffocating. He'd gone for a run until his lungs ached and even after that, he still didn't want to be inside so the roof was the most logical place.

It was a chilly and rainy day but he didn't care. After spending several weeks thinking he was a member of the Other Team and plotting a return to the Never-Was, a little rain actually felt good. Will figured that he'd have to tell someone (probably Dave, if he was still alive) about this but he really didn't want to. He didn't want to share the details of being pretty much controlled by a demonic monster from another dimension and how easily it had happened.

If he was that vulnerable, maybe he wasn't meant to be an Initiate. He tried to push those thoughts out of his head and took a deep breath before hopping up on the roof's ledge and sitting down so his feet could dangle.

Time to start repressing.
