The ordeal from the other day had been reduced to just fuzz in Ronan's mind. His shoulder was covered in thick gauze but that was mostly to disguise the claw marks. It didn't actually hurt that much anymore. The clock that he'd pulled from his dream was still ticking away on his bedside table. Chainsaw had taken to pecking the bells on top to make a nice ringing noise.

Today, both he and Chainsaw were out of the room and down in the common room. It seemed to be a bit quieter there. Of course, Chainsaw immediately took flight and was now perched on top of the television, occasionally pecking at some invisible piece of lint or fuzz or something.

Ronan had grabbed some water from the fridge before he'd taken a seat on the couch and put his feet up. His phone buzzed. Grudgingly, Ronan pulled it out of his pocket and glared at it. It was Gansey. He, of course, wanted to talk about Ronan's dream, about the island's energy.

Not now.

And then he shoved it back in his pocket and turned on the television to mask the renewed buzzing of his phone. So much for the quiet.
