lilac_eyed_lieutenantTime to find out if the smoke alarms worked! Tisarwat was trying her hand at cooking again.
Actually, though, she was doing fairly well so far, but that was just because it was sort of difficult to mess up a food that's instructions were basically "put in bowl, microwave, stir, enjoy." She'd even managed to ensure that the bowl was actually safe for the microwave, and nothing caught on fire when she put it in.
It even looked pretty good when she eventually pulled it out, grabbing a spoon, glad for her gloves because the exterior of the bowl was very hot. But when she dug in her spoon and took a tentative bite, she was in for a surprise.
"How is it still cold?"
Not just that, but the outside was plenty warm, it was just the middle that was so cold, it may as well have been frozen.
"This planet," she murmured, to no one in particular, obviously, because she was by herself, as she stirred the bowl and put it back in the microwave for another round, "has the worst technology..."
