Astrid had been thinking of ordering some food, but when she got to the common room to make sure there weren't already too many leftovers in the fridge already, she suddenly felt really disenchanted with the whole idea and changed her mind. So, instead, she drifted over to the couch, dropped into it with a sigh, and tucked up her legs, feeling really pensive about...everything. About her mother. About whether or not she wanted to go to New York with Paul Trout, about whether life was just a dead end at a certain point or if she'd just keep drifting between one thing to the next...

...at least this place was a little nicer than Rena's place, but she did sometimes miss everyone there. And the hustling here wasn't nearly as good.
