After Starr had dumped him, Jude had disappeared for three straight days of the highest quality zombie cinema. Since he hadn't actually been dumped, his turnaround time was quicker. Which is why, with no skatepark to escape to and no working leg to skate with, he emerged from his room and headed for the roof, curling up on the ledge with his cast dangling over, leaving white plaster marks on the brick.

Life is weird sometimes was his general conclusion.

Vacation was all well and good, but Nadia was starting to get bored. So she was out in the common room, listening to the CDs she'd gotten yesterday, with her laptop. One window on it had notes for the "Evil flying pink pony awareness party", the other had her somewhat neglected epic adventure story.

Yes, Elena and Marco were currently being attacked by evil, flying pink ponies. And a new friend, Tad, had appeared in the narrative. He was a very tall Filipino with a penchant for flirting with . . . well, just about anyone, but especially Jean, the skateboarding star from Quebec.

Almost as a rule, Chad didn't work out. The whole idea of someone who was as naturally muscular as he was working to make himself more muscular was just silly. But Chad could barely remember the last time he felt this frustrated, which meant that he just wanted to hit things. A lot. The walls didn't seem like the best choice in the world, so he went to gym.

That poor, poor punching bag. Good thing it was on a good, sturdy rope and had stitching made of steel, or something.

It wasn't too unbearably cold out, so Nadia was only wearing four layers as she sat on the edge of the roof, staring up at stars she couldn't actually see thanks to cloud cover.

There were a couple planes and a spot light from the mainland bouncing faintly off the clouds, though.

Today had been a decent day, at the very least until she'd run into Chad in the gym, and she was determinedly shoving that part out of her brain so she could keep thinking that today was just a good day, total, end of story.

[ooc: open, yo. I'm an RP fiend today.]
