Apparently Conner was a glutton for punishment, or something, because here he was, in the common room, waiting for Relic Hunters Adventure Squad to start. He couldn't believe he was actually going to willingly subject himself to that theme song again, but it was sort of like a trainwreck. Besides, Bobbi and Lily were hot.

Also, he wanted to see if O'Reilly was going to be any less of a dork this week. Conner was very concerned with upholding the Red Ranger image. Even if they were fictional representations, see.

Sam was on the floor of the garage next to her swoop bike, surrounded by parts--half clean, half filthy--a rag, and assorted tools. She was currently busy filing down a part she'd designed and cast for the propulsion system, trying to smooth all the rough edges before she replaced it.

So far, it was a little better than it had been, but the process was slow-going because she had to keep stopping to pull the metal filings out of her fingertips. At least it was mind-numbing enough work that she could let her mind drift, and not think of anything; particularly not seventeen-year-old girls leading armies into battle, because that should never have happened.

Apparantly, while Turtle was away on the most handwavy trip ever heh in Savannah, the mail problem fixed itself; either that, or every single one of the Wall Street Journals had decided to magically manifest themselves all at once. Around here, Turtle wouldn't be surprised. But she had a small stack of them now and brought them with her to the common room, spreading them and herself out on the floor with a bowl of cereal for dinner to read them idly while she watched TV. She wasn't paying so much attention to the TV, really.

It was too cold and windy out for Nadia to want to go any where near the roof, so she was crashed out on her back on the common room couch, her guitar balanced on her stomach as she plucked out a tune, her amp turned way down so she wouldn't be disturbing anyone else.

She was singing quietly enough for it to barely count as singing, not paying much attention to the words, just trying to get the guitar right.

It'd been awhile since she'd listened to Counting Crows, and she couldn't help remembering the last time she'd performed one of their songs, almost a year ago. Two, depending on who you asked. . . .

Thus she played, singing softly, and stared up at the ceiling, reminiscing.
