Third Floor Common Room - Thursday Morning

Katara hadn't had much sleep last night.  So after Chad came in, she migrated out to the Common Room so her lack of sleeping wouldn't bother him.  Shortly towards dawn, she fell asleep on the couch.

And woke up to find weetiny penguins staring at her.  "Awww" was the immediate reaction followed quickly by trying to entice one or two into her hand to pet.  They came willingly enough even though she didn't have any dried fish.  Which made her immediately wonder if they were hungry.  That was when the announcements came on, and, in a stunning display of hypocrisy from the girl who grew up eating penguin, Katara frowned mightily at the speaker.  "NOT FOR EATING."

So with a promise to the penguins that she'd try to get them food in a bit, Katara got up and found pen and paper.  A short but laborious struggle later with the English language later, she was searching for dried fish or something penguins might eat in the Common Room kitchen.

A sign was posted on the door.

Alec had apparently decided to take Hades' announcement to heart today, as he sat in the common room kitchen with a giant pot on the stove and many weetiny penguins running around. The stove was on, the water coming to a boil, and Alec was hungry.

Second floor common room, Thursday late afternoon

It had been bothering Steerpike since Ares's class. How could Annette expect him to obey her every whim, simply because it was her birthday? Worse, how had he allowed her to fool him into thinking that she might actually care?

It was foolish, the whole damned thing. He would have to step up his plans, just to ensure he did not get fooled again.

Steerpike was in the common room, slouched on a couch, and plotting.

He was also juggling the wee-tiny penguins, which made them give out weetiny "WEEEEEE!"s of delight and fear as they were lobbed repeatedly into the air and then caught again.

Hallways - Thursday night

Annette was walking up and down the dorm hallways carrying a large silver tray of cupcakes. Well no, she was marching sort of. Her contingent of weetiny penguins were following her, marching along. Between every two, they carried a cupcake, and they handed them to anyone who bent over to ask them nicely for one. If one did not ask nicely, there was, uh, no telling where that cupcake might end.

"One, two, three, four, keep up fella's. We've got a lot of cupcakes to give away!"

Much weetiny squee'ing commenced and the pitter-patter of wobbly penguin feet.

Turtle had finished her packing, and decided to take a break from eating cupcakes by finding....more sugar, of course, because she also had to celebrate the fact that her toothache and headache seemed to subside, and that meant...sugar to celebrate. And she was going to New York! She could actually see Wall Street! That required...even more sugar! And she was really, really, really, really excited, and so there's no way she could sleep, and so Turtle was in the common room kitchen, trying to put together the most disgustingly sugary concoction imaginable, bouncing slightly, and singing random songs that came to her head.

New York, yayyyy!
