Michael was up early, for some reason, and had headed for the common room to check out the kitchen.

He wasn't cooking, yet, but the trappings of omelettes were all laid out, waiting for someone to show up.

[ooc: forgot to say - common room is open! please tag, Michael likes to cook!]

River hadn't made popcorn in a long time. She didn't put a lid on the pan and let the popcorn fly around the kitchen, and moved around the kitchen with surprising speed and grace, catching them in her hands and mouth. It might have been a dance or it might have been a fight - the choice was up to the beholder.

Jen had been less surprised, upon arriving, to find out that she had to check her weapons than she had been to realize that this was enough of an issue to actually have a weapons-check policy at a school.

Also a surprise, although less of one, was the fact that students had access to a shooting range. She headed down to said shooting range after classes were over, took her Time Force-issue blaster sidearm out of the locker, and was just about to find an alley and get some target practice in when she noticed the well-worn copy of the rules.

Remembering that it had been standard practice at Time Force Academy to post the rules before using the range, she decided it was safe to assume the same here, so up the rules went:

SAFETY RULES:

· TREAT ALL GUNS AS IF THEY WERE LOADED

· KEEP YOUR FINGER OFF THE TRIGGER UNTIL READY TO FIRE

· BE SURE OF YOUR TARGET AND WHAT’S BEYOND

· ALWAYS WEAR HEARING AND EYE PROTECTION

· NEVER USE ALCOHOL OR DRUGS BEFORE OR WHILE SHOOTING.

· CHECK IN ALL WEAPONS BEFORE YOU LEAVE THE RANGE.

That done, she donned all the safety gear, found her alley, and started firing. If at any point she was picturing Captain Logan's face on the target, she'd never admit it.

[OOC: Jen may be a little bit hyperfocused right now, but the range is most definitely open.]

All are welcome, regardless of skill!
Wear comfy clothes!
Informal food for formal dancing!
(Bring your own picnic)

Questions? Contact Willow Rosenberg or Mr. Glitch.

[ooc: NFI, unless you wish to react to the sign]

Coraline had woken early, much to her annoyance.

Not wanting to disturb Lucas, she'd put her robe on over her pyjamas, slipped on her slippers (yes, they were shaped like purple rabbits. She'd insisted) and went down to the common room.

She poured herself a bowl of cereal and curled up on the couch under a blanket, remote control in hand, switching through the channels.

Wednesday night was Project Runway night. Peter wouldn't miss it for the world.

Currently there was a mini-marathon of previous episodes. Since Peter had seen them already, he kept himself occupied making notes in the journal Sam had gotten for him.

Well, that was the idea. Occasionally his writing would turn into random doodles without Peter noticing it.

[open like a common room... 'cause it's a common room. :D]
