For all those that were coming and leaving the dorms, they would notice some increased activity around the outside area. There were construction workers moving into the area, working efficiently around one side of the dorms.

The shape wasn't quite clear yet but for those with a keen construction eye, you could see the foundation of a deck being laid and space being measured and marked for a larger, grassier area in front of the large patio/deck.

The construction workers were steadfastly ignoring the singing from the rats. Though, one could see them shaking their hips as they worked.

[And as requested, the construction of a deck/campfire area has begun. Feel free to have your character notice the noise and increased activity. There will be a grand opening on Friday (these boys work fast) and it will be an event for students, teachers, staff and townies to celebrate the new area. There's going to be an OOC post here to explain more.]

The few pi-rats that were hanging out in the common room quickly ran out as soon as Worf entered and gave them a steady glare.

They didn't even try to sing...

Worf then grabbed a large bottle of prune juice before casting a wary eye at the television. He highly doubted that there would be anything that he would find entertaining but nevertheless decided to give it a try.

Imagine his surprise when he found a television program that exactly suited his needs.

"Finally," he grumbled as he sat down on the couch. "Something worthy of a warrior."

Lee was a man of his word (and good boyfriend to boot) and was busily sticking up poster after poster all around the dorms.

He plastered them on walls, in common areas, in the lobby, in the stairwell, anywhere he could find until he ran out of posters.

[React to the posters or feel free to chat with Lee, if you'd like. Posters made by [livejournal.com profile] ecirpnellehada!]

A week of roaming had left Ender wanting for the relative comfort of routine, and so on Wednesday morning, he found himself back at the gym. He remembered his previous exercise programs, had adapted them the previous day to fit his current situation.

'Fit' really was the word. He took to his stretches before he started anything heavier.

[ open like a gym, kids ]

Chuck had liked Antarctica. The weather was nice and he could wear his scarf. However, there was something to be said about Tortuga. It was warm enough so that the girls would be out in bikinis and while he wasn't a beach guy he was capable of appreciating the scenery. The roof was a good place to do said appreciating of nature. It also happened to be a nice place to light up. He had been avoiding smoking in his room anyways. He had the feeling it'd piss Susan off and he wanted to stay on her good side until after he slept with her. Which would happen eventually; he had no doubt about that.

Chuck exhaled a cloud of smoke and wished that Nathaniel was here. He always liked getting high with other people. Chuck got talky when he was stoned and it sure as hell wasn't fun talking to yourself. There were those freaky ass rats dressed up like pirates but you couldn't pay Chuck to talk to those things. They made him feel like he was in a Disney movie.

[It's a roof so the post is open]

Television?

Check.

Bowl of popcorn?

Check.

Pi-Rats digging into said bowl of popcorn with piratical glee?

Double Check.

"I think you guys will love this show! It's so funny," Sora smiled brightly as he turned on the latest fad with reality shows. The talking animals thing was just never going to phase him. "I just hope Heather gets voted off... I kinda felt sorry for the ants they put in her bed last time."

[Open as CMs can be.]

Inara was on her way into the common room to see what was on television when she passed by a rat in a state of dishabillé, hiding behind the door frame, peeking in at a large group of rats in petticoats.

The one in the center was on a chair or stool of some kind, and singing,

Poor wandering one!
Though thou hast surely stra-ayed,
Take heart of grace,
Thy steps retrace,
Poor wandering one!

The singing rat hopped off the stool and gestured toward the door, almost as if she knew the rat in his knickers was standing there, sighing wistfully at her.

Poor wandering one!
If such poor love as mine
Can help thee find
True peace of mind
Why, take it, it is thine!
Take heart, fair days will shine;
Take any heart take mine!

Inara gave the rat a little nudge forward with her foot, then walked into the room and took a seat on the couches, wondering what else she would see.

[ooc: Open! We're in the first act of Pirates of Penzance, if anyone wants to play along!]
