You could almost get nostalgic about a thing like this.

Kerrigan stepped down from the ladder so she could admire her handiwork. "I'll be here to pick you guys up in a couple of hours," she told them. She wasn't smiling this time-- that was a change from the last. "Or when you resolve your differences. I'm listening in, so don't try anything stupid."

She'd picked a nice spot for them, though. Not in any way harder to spot, but at least this way they were relatively safe from any rain that might fall or fog that might mysteriously become rabid. Fandom flora could be useful like that.

"I hope you both had lunch."

[ first for the two on the wall, and next for anyone who might stumble on by. have at! ]

"This is gettin' ridiculous," she stated, her Minnesota drawl thick. "I'm tired of you bein' a hyena and I'm tired of you rollin' around in the dirt despite the stupid fog. You're havin' a bath whether you like it or not," she declared with a finger point at Cal.

He growled but Amber knew he didn't mean it. He's growled at her a lot. Fickled hyenas were just a pain and why couldn't he be himself again already?

"Look. The tub is ready and it's warm and everythin'. You just have to help me get you in there. You kinda got a fat ass, Cal," she teased although seriously, he was rather heavy.

"Come on..." she said and tried to lift him up over the side. "Come..." grunt grunt "...on!"

But Cal totally didn't think he needed a bath so paws to the edge of the tub, he held strong. "COME ON!" she yelled, giving one last shove that threw them both over the rim into the tub, Amber head first. "Aaaaaaaaa!" she screamed and sputtered and spit out water when she came up.

Cal was standing leg deep, staring at her.

Amber screamed again in pure frustration.

[Establishy mainly but you can wonder what the hell if you're passing by.]

Karal followed Altra as he made his way unerringly through the thick fog to the stables. All sound was muffled, which was both disturbing and at the same time oddly peaceful, and Karal jumped when Trenor loomed soundlessly out of the gloom.

"Silly horse," he told him, scratching the horse's nose, and Trenor snorted. "Come along." Karal led him into the barn and turned on every light before getting Trenor his breakfast.

"I need you to be at your best this morning," he said quietly, leaning on the stall door. "You are to be both a distraction and a way of soothing someone." Trenor flicked his ears and kept eating.

Altra, after a studying them for a moment, left the barn to sit atop a fence post, watching through the fog for Jaina.

[ooc: Karal's thread with Jaina locked to them, but the stables are totally open to all.]

Dawn so didn't feel like herself. She'd had a bowl of cereal--rice krispies, for those who were being nosy--with milk and bananas for breakfast, a peanut butter and jelly sandwich (strawberry) with chips on the side, sigh with milk and an apple for lunch, and chicken fried rice from Ching Tai for dinner.

God, she was bored. Still, a deal was a deal. To that end, she had a jar of chocolate syrup and was prepared to upend it over her head.

John was a dead man if she got mosquito-bitten.

And down the chocolate went on her hair. God, it felt smooshy.
